Nothing really fancy. I use a SM57 connected to a fast track audio interface. Heres another one ive just uploaded. Ive recorded this about a year ago, but never felt like putting it up on youtube. Anywayy i put this up because I'm going to compete in my uni's talent show this Thursday and im going to sing this song. Winners going home with 300 euros : rclxm9.gif

All sorts of criticisms are welcomed smile.gif

DUDE ITS AWESOME!!! Just a tad out of sync with the beat... try to maintain the beat... but u got talent bro!!

To spice it up abit... try to tap the guiter if you can for a beat throughout the music... you know something different.. GO REPRESENT!!

Hi guys
I posted on the other thread too (My Songs) but here goes.
Maybe you guys could comment on my producing + compositioning skills XD would be helpful
Here's my two latest songs:
http://translogicnoise.bandcamp.com/track/reorthodoxy
It's a rocky song (think Radiohead OK Computer). I'm not happy with the bass though (it's not a bass actually, just an electric guitar which I bassed up in Logic), and especially not the percussion. Any tips to punch the bass up?

This is me trying to be Bon Iver tongue.gif I really like how the "ahhh"s swell up the chorus. I recorded three layers of vocals for this and did it all in one take (each track I mean). The guitar is reverbed a bit. The first vocal is clean. The one on the left has a Low Cut EQ (which means low freqs are cut off) and the one on the right has a High Cut EQ. I feel like adding a piano inside to give the chorus a bit more oomph. Tell me what you think biggrin.gif

Oh, before I forget. I record everything using my trusty Behringer C2 condenser mics (yes, EVERYTHING!). I probably should invest in some vocal mics haha. I use a Behringer Mixer which is plugged into my Macbook. I record and mix everything in Logic Pro. I recommend you guys to get and learn Logic Pro, it's quite awesome-sauce.
Check out my other songs if you're interested. Drowning Stars is trip-hop, Awake Again is a drone instrumental, Magnetic is a Thom York-ish song.
