I thought it's my turn to submit our songs.. this is one of the thai project band songs.... i composed the music, while the singer wrote the lyrics and the melody of the song...

Feel free to comment.

I know recording quality sucks, and mistakes here and there... but nothing too major.... it was 3am... so sleepy d. lol

anyway, hope you guys like it... and yeah, i'm playing the acoustics and the solos... the electric rhytmn is another guitarist.

Here the song I wrote for my girlfriend........ Song for Emma (My Little Emo Girl)...... the second guitar is a smudge off-tune, but i still like it.

Also, it's the first time I'm trying out my UX2 through Garageband. still have to work out how to program it properly.

enjoy, and comments please.

Trix, good song. I can feel you man! But why did you upload it with lower bitrate? I can't really say much on the recording, except the mix is quite balanced. Did you use nylon guitar or Gearbox's acoustic preset on electric? I think you can make it more interesting by putting some other instruments/elements like strings & percussions. Anyway, I'm sure "Emma" would get cair.... Good job!

Using a Nylon guitar for the rhythm parts, acoustic for the solos. I'm still fiddling with Garageband, but I think I want to go back to Windows and Audtion for recording again.
And yes, it would be more "dramatic" with more instruments, but somehow a stripped down version speaks better..........

First off, I'm pleasantly surprised there's no distortion at all in this song! Very 'unblacktrixy', especially the rhythm guitar. Good chordwork thumbup.gif Like the change of feel from major to minor around 0:42..makes it damn emo (very Satch-like actually).

The lead lines sound very blacktrixie though. All in all, as opfish said, Emma sure 'cair' one! tongue.gif

P.S There's no such thing as being too dramatic! Add drums, strings, harp, horns wutever! Make it epicly emo. (and maybe rerecord the 2nd guitar with better tuning).

Yeah. I actually now plan to do it in a very Steve Vai fashion.
Will extend it to around 5 minutes or so, pull of some whammy stuff and see what happens.
This is basically a ballad I wrote on the spot, so I always have my recording rig ready now when inspiration hits me now. And yes, I'm still using the Zakk school of pentatonic soloing which I'm trying to get away from. Oh well...... It was what I was feeling at the time anyway.

And yes, Love makes me do many a stupid thing..... and Emma was pretty much "cair" when she heard it tongue.gif
Thank GOD she doesn't know about this forum tongue.gif

In tribute to MJ, I decided it's time I finally try to learn the Beat It solo...so here's my attempt on this.
Sorry I don't have a whammy bar, so don't expect those cool dives and stuff..haha!

P.s I suck at tapping sad.gif

This is a self composed song , performed in some college dinner.

Its been ages since my last post , hopefully this wont be too late.

The name of the song is "Passion of Hope" , named by one of my friend.
