Jemi:
Great as usual!!! some notes sound out of tune, but even Paul Gilbert has solos that sound 'a bit off'... |

hi strings
nice sound you've got there! i don't understand chinese, but the vocals sound superb! the other guys were right by saying that you need to include more breaks or different arrangements and melody between the song. i suggest you try out Adobe Audition for recording. Acid Pro can record, but it's more focused on loop-based sequencing, so the recording capabilities are limited. Audition is a full-on multitrack recording mixer and it has loads of features for recording. but for me, i've been using Fruityloops, Acid Pro and Audition for many years now, but i think i only know how to use 5% of the features |

hi guys... i've been meddling with doing remix stuffs for fun, and just wanna share with you this song. Originally Jewel's Foolish Games.
i chose this song to try out the Vocal Extractor function in Adobe Audition, using the 'Acapella' preset. i tried to get the dreamy delay effect often used in House and Trance song, but didn't quite get it right. also, lots of out of sync vocal placement... sound also haven't been mixed properly... basically the song is just for me to try extracting vocals from a song and building another soung around it based on the original's melody and arrangement... quite satisfied with what i got Vocals extracted in Adobe Audition Loops, synths and effects created in Fruityloops Sequenced in Acid Foolish Games remix btw i've updated the 1st post... wooooh! anybody who's got updated links to their expired songs please PM me yeahhh This post has been edited by modD: Feb 17 2006, 11:07 AM |

QUOTE(metalhead @ Feb 23 2006, 11:27 AM) Thankx QUOTE(led_zep_freak @ Feb 23 2006, 05:13 PM) Wow not bad! I only used Fruityloops for this song... the samples were made from the internal plugin synths... one particular plugin that i love is Sytrus... try it out, there are loads of Sytrus presets in FL that just sound awesome! actually making electronica song is quite easy, provided you know what type of sounds to put in the song. usually these are the layer of sounds in an electronic song: 1 - drums (you don't need much... a simple 4/4 kick, some hihats and snare/clap. and cymbals of course... 2 - bassline (you can get away with only one bar of a simple bassline throughout the song) 3 - synth lines (can be repetitive with minimal variation) 4 - atmosphere (you know, the background soft sounds) 5 - various effects here n there but how you arrange and what type of sounds you use can totally change the type of electronic music you make. too much synth, and it becomes cheesy ahbeng techno. too much drum elements and it can turn to jungle house. this is a very good guide in creating songs - http://www.tweakheadz.com/recipes.html |

i've been out of the guitar world for quite a while, concentrating on electro music. as such, this comment can be considered a non-guitarist's opinions
so when i heard your song, led zep, i feel refreshed! honestly... from the Little Wing intro right to the end, i find myself just flowing with the song. yeah it's a little draggy for some, but to me it's fine. i like it. apart from that i dunno what to comment heheh |
