yeah yeah wait alexei reply urs thread, coz he the pro of 2t bike.

paiseh... me no pro, just do the fixing myself lah.

SS ah, good to take care oh, old classic bike, good design.
This one, if fix up nicely, old timer uncle or those traffic police see also salute you.
Don't worry PDD plate, my PCW also working like gem.

- Brake caliper just take apart, clean up with metal cleaner, change caliper seal and new brake fluid. <10 can gaotim.
- No 2T if ride slow engine won't jam, just the bearing and piston ring all longgar and FC suck. White smoke all come out. Cannot argue with mum one lah, she doesn't appreciate ma.

For full service, bring to my friend's place at Federal Motor, next to The Fatty Loh chicken rice near Island Plaza there, I trust his work. He's kind of the boss doing the work himself. Ask him take a look, and make a quotation.
From the sound of it, just the engine I would advise prepare RM200. For additional parts & service, another RM2-300 lah...

Talk about SS, make me drool.gif nia... last time my friend stock bike, senang senang 150kmh.

the bike in Langkawi? too bad.
good thing you all here take care of bike like wife one. haha.

pickup slow means a lot of things, but normal service can take care of most of it, just worry the piston and ring damages only... sounds like exhaust also need to clean liao. Even my Yamaha Sports 100 is better than the SS liao biggrin.gif

does motor have something call clutch oil ??

If you're talking kapcai - No.
Unless if the clutch is hydraulic.

Added on December 27, 2010, 6:52 pmJust brought my bigger bike to service fork change oil.
Threw away the old 5W forkoil that I used, now poured in some capalang oil, good and thick. Now riding the bike feels so much better. RM12 for 2 bottles. biggrin.gif Maybe next time I use Rockoil like zelk use.

However, the MPS like to goyang left right even worse now.

QUOTE(Spayz @ Dec 27 2010, 07:28 PM)
in conclusion, a RM7 of Shell RON97 on my bike can take me as far as 1180-1260 with my riding style, i believe i can save more fuel if i ride slower, or use RON95 (which i wont do because i don't like the power of that fuel grade). Also, this fuel consumption just bothers me quite a little because of the fuel hike.
smile.gif
*
1180-1260? I guess that's including the 'white' character in the meter, which means 118.0-126.0 km.
If that's correct, it's roughly 5.5~5.9 cents per 100km.

City riding:
My R.G.V is 2.7~2.8 cents.
My T.Z.M is 3.9~4.0 cents. (2.6 cents highway).

can anibodi teach on how to save fuel on LC,..?
anithing can upgrade 2 minimize FC..?

Bike design is like that. Only thing to do is tune the jetting and calculate the mileage yourself.

wow, fork oil 2 bottles for RM12? very reasonable man the price.i remember i spend RM 10 or above ...........actually kinda forget d but i only get quarter of one bottle oil...
*
each bottle only 250ml, so I think it's actually expensive.
For a 1 liter Rock oil or Motul, cheaper actually.

TYPO PAISEH!!!

For every 100km, it's:
My R.G.V is 2.7~2.8 liter...
My T.Z.M is 3.9~4.0 liter. (2.6 liter highway).

So, for RON95 at RM1.90 per liter..
R.G.V is about 5 cents per km.
T.Z.M is about 7.4 cents per km...

@bro alex.. wanna ask ur opinion.. my bike right.. i change digital meter..
*
@Aaron: My replies:
QUOTE
1. Speedometer and odometer measure from the front tyre, but the scale is different.
2. Speedometer may be inaccurate at 10%, odometer can be ~2-5% only.
3. By design, odometer between different bikes has no 'ralat' because it uses gear to calculate, no calibration one.
4. Speedometer can differ between meters becoz it is analog, and needs calibration.

To your questions:
1. Can Koso meter calibrate the odometer using tire diameter, similar to the speedometer?
- If not, then I think it uses the speedometer calibration. The distance the KOSO measure, will differ between settings for the speedometer.
2. Try to measure a fixed distance with a car, and this will tell the differences.
3. Fuel tank cannot be lower than carb position. biggrin.gif

Change which one? Should affect top speed significantly...
Gear ratio-4th gear: 23/22 (1.045)

Gear ratio-1st gear: 34/12 (2.833)
Gear ratio-2nd gear: 30/16 (1.875)
Gear ratio-3rd gear: 23/17 (1.353)
Gear ratio-4th gear: 23/22 (1.045)

4th gear if change from 23 to 21 will make it heavier, but good for highway ride. If engine can manage it, can increase topspeed ~9.5%.

Tomorrow confirm holiday, and I can join TT tomorrow!!!
Meet at Tesco Caltex at what time?
- I check back is 8am, correct ah?

Alex.. Since we're talking about gear now.. Kelvin wan rgv right.. He y his 5th gear more power than 6th gear.. He say in highway just use 5th gear can d... Means the ratio almost the same izzit the 5th and the 6th gear...
*
Is the rear sprocket too small?
It happened to me when I used size 35 last time, now go to size 41, works for me.
If he wanna use small sprocket, better change to RG Sports gear set.

I met a one fella riding a RGV with racing footrest and no tail light. He was squeezing a scooter towards the main road in preventing him to enter the motorcycle lane. I was behind them closing in. Then he give way and the scooter got into the motor lane. They were chatting the whole way...

When I looked closer, the rider is wearing police uniform with a pistol holster. Some more he tarik tarik the throttle to make noise and smoke, together with two other policemen on bike. In the end, they turned left into the new Burger King Esplanade area...

that's what I thought, not sure if there's a new police impound in that area or not... then again, they normally use van or lorry to carry those bikes one.

i see all of you got Stromberg spark plug booster,..?
where to get,..?
who can tell me i'll link u to my avatar girl on FB..
ahahha,.. happy.gif
kidding,..!!!
*
Some car accessories shop sells it. They will have small banner of the Stromberg logo one.
But, mind you, it works for low RPM to improve FC mostly, doesn't help increase top speed.
Costs about RM50-60 last time I checked.

Look at the link posted above to buy direct.
