Hi sifus,
Need some help here. I will be doing renovation at Cheras, so it should be under DBKL.
My unit currently has a garden separating the retaining wall facing the road (with the usual drainage) and the iron grill for the glass sliding door.
I would like to remove the glass sliding door and extend the unit until the retaining wall i.e. the retaining wall will be incorporated into the unit.
Even before applying/not applying permit, i would like to know if its possible, so as not to get conned or have problems in getting approval.
If the above is possible, then can my upstairs also be extended the same i.e. the same length of the below room.
its a townhouse unit, so there is another owner upstairs with his front door facing the same direction as my back door, his balcony facing the same direction as my front.
Thanks all!
By law this sort of renovation is not allowed. Reasoning is that there is no back alley so your house is required to have a setback from the retaining wall.Need some help here. I will be doing renovation at Cheras, so it should be under DBKL.

You may be able to extend some but it won't be all the way.
