QUOTE(razorboy @ Mar 13 2011, 06:37 PM) I'm not sure about GX640 but GT680r has an option to turn on a fan. Try that? Another thing is on GT680r, it has this naturally stand allowing air-flow. So far I have yet to use a cooler for it. But if you're not using a cooler, I suggest a good air cooler? Or the old fashion table fan I using Cooler Master Infinite, but look like not effective There's a thread by my friend about Laptop Cooling. Here it is http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1334052&hl= When play games the temperature rises 68~70 |

QUOTE(viruz019 @ Mar 14 2011, 01:27 PM) there is MSI laptop within that range..the GX640..if im not wrong it's the 15" wan..good specs..but not sure if it will get hot..as it's an updated version frm my old gx630..or u can get the gt740..it's good and it wont get hot tat easily ur normal temperature lower than desktop normal temp? for my old msi gx630 is around 60+ as well..this one right now is around 48~50+ when gaming it's around 80+? which is consider good replacing thermal compound is the best choice i guess. But it is dangerous, though i think you can purchase the thermal compound and ask MSI service centre to help u do the pasting.. not sure if they got help out though..cause i noe Asus Malaysia helps their user to paste the thermal compound for a price |
