Hi all, first of all.. would really thank viruz019 for his effort on this thread. We, MSI Malaysia really own him much. I'm not sure whether this is the best place to provide information as not to be mistaken as "hard sell" so i'll just provide answers to those questions seen here.

1. Since the arrival of Sandy Bridge, we are not going to carry any old i5 models for our gaming series. Currently we are focusing in GE620 and GT680.
GE620: i7-2630M, GT540M 1G DDR3, 4GB DDR3, 640GB HDD.
GT680: i7-2630QM, GTX460M 1.5GB DDR5, 12GB DDR3, 1TB HDD 7200rpm (500GB x 2), Blu-Ray Drive, USB 3.0, Dynaudio Premium Sound.

2. I'm not sure whether is it ok to post the pricing here or not. Do enlighten me as there's a lot of pricing enquiry.

The SRP is RM6999 and Courts has stock. However during the previous Megatex, the launching promo is at RM5999. You can give Courts a call if you are interested.

Sorry Jackie, we do not bring in the GX660R to Malaysia Market. Currently only GE620 and GT680.

Sorry for the trouble caused. maybe we didn't explain ourselves properly. we actually recalled all GT680 and will only bring in the latest B3 Chipset. if you are the one who called to MSI Malaysia Office, my colleague should has explain it to you. i'm sorry for his part. GT680 is the only notebook from MSI effected. Therefore we recalled all the B2 stepping GT680 and will only start selling it when the new B3 stepping GT680 arrived. i posted the announcement of Sandy Bridge Issue in the main Mobile Computing site. As i assume everyone may look at there before coming here.

I just received the news that our GT680 is stuck with the customs but our disti is on the way to the customs to clear any related issues. And if possible they will directly fulfill courts once everything is cleared. It is expected the GT680 will be in Courst Store by this week.

There's a lot of possibility here. But to make sure it's not hardware related problem, maybe you can try to do a recovery 1st. But make sure you save all your datas.

Sometimes webcam problem can be solved through firmware update. Maybe you want to try to check whether there's an updated version or not. But since FR620 is still new, it's still not included into the global web. Need to wait for it.

Dear razorboy,
Maybe you can try to update the System Control Manager which is for all the FN keys. It usually helps when there's bug on the FN keys. So it's the same to others as well, if you are facing problem with the FN keys, kindly check if there's any updated version of System Control Manager.

If i'm not mistaken, it's already in the market. Maybe let me know your location then we will advice on where is the closest dealer has the stock.

For GT680 users,
There's a new BIOS update. Fixed several issues. Do flash the BIOS on your on risk.

If you are unsure how to do it, it's quite simple actually. First create a bootable USB drive. Refer to the link below. Then download the BIOS and unzip the files to the bootable USB drive you have created. After that boot to the thumbdrive to DOS. In dos type "flash" and you are done.

PS: although flashing bios is not advisable due to the risk involved, but flashing the an updated BIOS may provide better stability.
