QUOTE(Eiraku @ Aug 20 2013, 12:01 PM) Anddddddd when I called back then they said no void IF install RAM... Granted I asked to speak with the person in charge of notebooks (prolly supervisor). MSI service really sounds confused over their policies for sure which ain't good for consumer confidence. Also I've heard that running 1.5 RAM on Haswell will result in really bad sheet happening. hmm guy on phone say" gt70 support 1.5v ram... no problem" hmmm is alot cheaper to get normal ram then LOW voltage.. that why i did not upgd to 32GBas my 16GB RAM is LOW volt ram, single low volt 8GB cost me rm250..) edit: yea i did test ram... no effect just bsod lol,,, This post has been edited by Unseen83: Aug 20 2013, 01:43 PM

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Aug 21 2013, 03:04 PM) After careful consideration, taking into account the mSATA costs RM500 on it's own (which borders on ridiculous but ONLY MSI has the correct, Super RAID capable part), I've come to the conclusion that I only really need a ODD HDD caddy + a normal "proper" SSD. With a proper SSD costing about the same as an mSATA, there's no way the overhead can be justified even with the (proported) benefits of Super RAID IMO. As usual, YMMV. Now to find a caddy that I can "reuse" my old ODD faceplate cover with, to keep the "stock" look. which model u using... ? regarding Super Raid 2... i got option to upgrade to msata x 3 +HDD(64m x 3add cost RM1,100) or single SSD+HDD(256ssd rm600) so i go for cost effective, i don't see any use for ssd read/write rate higher then 500mb... for double price or triple...(my humble opinion) x yes it sound idea way to go for u ODD HDD(Storage)+ SSD(OS).. hmm i wonder what model u using... must be 15inch as no 2xHDD slot... x can u add pic Edit: i gonna benchmark my SSD performance today... gonna upload pic..
