Hi bro mind sharing what website/player u use for downloading all those drama are in mp4 or mkv format bcz im using qvod player mostly the format is rmvb .
*
Maybe can try mkvtoolnix, a GUI which remux the video.

Remux is a very fast operation, it does not re-encode the video ( re-encoding is slow).

Take's 9 second to remux a 400M rmvb to mkv.

hi guys, im looking for a 40" to be placed in bedroom, any RM1500 and below recommendations?

Main use is to stream Youtube and movies

thanks
*
To stream from internet, meaning it's a smart tv. I supposed the 40" UA40J5200 will be the TV you need. And that's should be RM1500 or slightly below.

Well that is just your opinion.

I have a 65" KS9000 mounted on the wall of my home and I have friends who have 65" C6s mounted on the wall as well and it looks just as great if not better IMO. But I will not knock you on your preferences. After all this highly depends on one's taste.

However, FYI it is not difficult at all to mount curved TVs on the wall or panels. I DIY-ed it myself and helped my mates as well and each time it was no more difficult mounting a curve as compared to mounting a flat. Flat or curved they all come with the same standard VESA mount interface. Please stop spreading false information if you've actually never done something yourself before.

Seems that they require different screws :-

Not sure about that but I could use all the screws with a standard VESA tilt mount with no problems at all.

Its been more than half a year and it is still secure and hasn't fallen off.

I think it's like this :-

Impossible, Vesa mount exist since 2006 and nowadays all mount is VESA mount. I don't think u can find non VESA mount anymore.
*
Even the shop selling TV and mounts telling me that they need to use different screw leh. Likely longer screw needed to hold properly.

i saw 1 display set KS5000 at senQ alamanda last Wednesday. RM 4500 i think + 700 for 5 years warranty.
*
Firstly, KS5000 is probably incorrect. Let's assume it is KS7000.

Next KS7000, that depends on the screen size also right ? If it is a 49", 4500+700 is just too expansive !

Haven't bought yet as it is very new into the store, expecting the price to drop after a while.
Very true, a lot of times it is all about human eyes. However, it is not difficult to see the different in PQ when you can compare 2 TVs side by side. Harvey Norman or Best Denki are definitely good place to check out all the models. I personally not impressed with MU6100.
*
MU6100 should be same quality as KU6000 ?

Noted on the setting, will try it out soon.

Wonder why the guy who tells me, its view-able. Its the 3D files tat player reads and screen it on a non-3D TV.
Above these guys from HLK, SenHeng and Harvey norman.

Some say can, some say cannot. Thinking to try it out later... borrow some 3d format n play it.
*
From what I gathered based on internet info, 3d player can select to play a 3d movie in 2d mode. So when playing in 2d mode, it is viewable on 2d tv. Not real practical experience here. Paiseh. wink.gif

Anyway, lets give it a try...

Can = oklo.. good lo...
Cannot = nvm lo.. wont die one...

I really wonders hows it works... I can foreseen the crappy image of dual layer overlaying each other as what u all mentions.
But for real 3d tv, about the same ma... mayb additional layer...

anyway, lets give it a try...
*
There is a layer of HDMI in between player and TV.

Maybe a 2D TV does not support the HDMI interface differences for a 3D output from the player ? So the 3D output becomes distorted when played on the 2D TV.

As far as HDMi cable concerned, just need a good quality HDMI cable for 3D. That's because the bandwidth of sending a 3D image data at higher than normal rate requires a good quality cable.

Those so called certified HDMI 1.4 3d cables, just marketing.

Found on internet for viewing distance vs resolution:

My 2 cents, this chart does not seem to capture the requirement of keeping the entire screen within a comfortable viewing angle (without having to move the head around), as we don't want to get into a situation of like sitting in the first row of the cinema to watch a movie, irrespective of whatever is the content resolution.

Found this chart on the net :-

The metric here is to maintain around 30º- 40º of "field of view".

If I understand correctly, for example, watching a 65" TV at distance < 5 ft is likely too near for comfort ( field of view outside 30-40 ).

may be i dont understand the chart sweat.gif  sweat.gif

My understanding is that the chart is about 'worth it' in the sense of be able to notice the resolutional details. It does not consider the aspect of be able to capture the entire screen inside a 'field of view'.

Yes, for content with very high resolution, the chart says in order for us to see the details, we have to sit near and have a big screen. But by doing so, the field of view becomes more that 40º and that becomes uncomfortable.

The 30º and 40º field of view :-

If people stick to this rule, they may likely be seated outside the distance where they can appreciate the difference between a 1080 full HD movie vs a 4k movie.

Feet, meters, FOV, inches, resolution, comfort zone, bla bla... Last last, it's up to room size, requirements and BUDGET! Playing true 4K+HDR on a 60" 9 series is still far better than on a 85" 5 series. Whether sitting 6ft away or 12ft.. I say, judge your room size, lighting conditions, budget and with your eyes make a decision. My 2 cents.
*
60" and 6 ft away meets both the "4k worth it" criteria and 40 degree of FOV.

However, 60" and 12 ft away fail both "4k worth it" and the FOV criteria.

So if you have a 60" TV, you can't put it 12 feet away, can't appreciate the 4K details ( even if the TV is playing a 4K content ) and also the FOV is too small.

85" and 12 ft away, no point getting a 4k TV, not able to appreciate the 4K details.

Yes they are same price now even retail price very big gap when 6303 got promotion. Still not deside yet since Samsung don't offer Android TV. Will check Sony Android TV.
*
So your preference is Android TV ? Now it seems only left Sony is only one making Android TV. Sharp LC__UA440X is also not Android.
