Hi guys

just wanna ask about samsung led tv Series 5, is there any limitation for external HDD to be accessed?
*
My read told me it does not support the new 3TB HDD.

IMO, external power HDD like 3.5" should be more reliable... But I do not like it as it require addtional AC adapter...

I just bought a 40C530 recently... It was good in the begining... But after awhile... Something happen... The TV seems looks smaller now...

Thus I wonder what is the prices avaiable for cheaper 46" or 50" LED? Got 46C5000 or 50C5000? How much?

what is the screen duplicated?

If you divide the screen into Top, Center and Bottom for 3 portion... The Center image is duplicating at the Top...

Anyway, it is solve after replace the panel... Yes!!! The whole panel.... And really scare me off with its reliability....

No doubt Samsung Contrast is damn good... But reliability is really scare people off... Imagine if not

Anyway, if anyone know how to use DLNA feature to stream remote contents, please share the whole experince ya... notworthy.gif

Btw, what do you think of the media content compatibility on the Samsung? My experince is about 70% from my contents... Or we end up better buy dedicated media players?

Hi guys,

As you know 2TB HDD is much more affordable than 3TB version...

Thus I wonder if Samsung TV such as 46D5000 can use USB HUB and connect to 2 HDDs? So I can have 2x 2TB external HDD connected to it? hmm.gif

chanhin, 2 HDD in both USB ports is not a problem. HDD can select thru the source USB1 or USB2.
I would suggest to setup a Plex Media Server for your samsung TV.

What is Plex Media? I see the URL still do not get it...

Is it some add-on card into Samsung TV? Will it work for 46D5000 ?

Hi guys,

I am using 46D5000 and facing some media playback issue last nite. I found my TV cannot detect the blueray ISO files.

Can anyone help to resolve it? Is it due to the >20GB file size issue? Or I have to un-ISO them into native files before my TV can read them?

It is kind of sad as the media compability is really high on this TV... until I face this ISO file issue... cry.gif

Hi,

I am using same model as you. I cant play .iso too. But my V10 just arrived. will test it out today smile.gif
*
Can I know why buy the V10 since you already has such a good TV with good media compatibility? Hope you can give me some reasons... As I need them to justify those dedicated players...

Iso & avc / blu ray direct copy are not supported. Can play back remux Mkv 40GB no problem.
*
So it mean basically convert them into lossless MKV and it will play the file, right? Can message me the software you use? Can it take BD ISO file and convert into MKV?

I had confirm that my Samsung 46D5000 fail to play BD ISO file.

So far it is the first format that I fail to play out of all my HD collection... cry.gif

Hope new firmware in the future can fix this problem.... sweat.gif

Hi all ~
i failed to connect my UA40D5000 to my router via LAN cable....
the router doesn't show any light when i plug the LAN cable to my TV ..

Play around with the cables... If possible, change cables if loosen heads...

Also can try changing ports on router.

It works flawlessly on my 46D5000 except it is only 100mbps rather than gigabit. But no complaits on video smoothness on playback at all. Surely better and reliable than WiFi.
