Finally, my Samy 40D6600 is in my living room. Got it from SenQ @ RM3499 - RM120 = RM3379. Comes with four (4) 3D glasses. 2 in the box. 2 more FREE offer by SenQ.
The RM120 rebate is because I upgrade my Astro to B.yond. Watching movies in 3D with MKV format is superb! Worth every penny... Plus, the Samsung Remote Apps for iPhone works brilliantly... Watching YouTube in HD is "wow!" (provided connection is high-speed & stable) Next upgrade is.... OLED (only if it is below RM3K.... in 5 years time....?) My rate for this model is 4 / 5 stars.... (Only the default sound system is average...) This post has been edited by azeemzuhair: Jan 21 2012, 09:46 AM |

QUOTE(Lord_Ashe @ Jan 21 2012, 10:37 PM) Nice! Yup. But not deep dimension as the active glass 3D. Watching "Avatar" 1080p 3D is the best so farActually I'm curious as to the difference between yours and my UA40D6000. Does yours have the 2d to 3d converter? Added on January 23, 2012, 5:18 pmTips: if u hv iPhone, u may project the contents of your photos & videos in iPhone to Samy TV using the aps called "iMediaShare". Tips : u can just play vids from PC or laptop directly to Samy TV. On your PC, just right-click the vid > play to > samy tv model.
But this approach only direct play certain file format like AVI, WMV and MPG. |

if u have iPhone or Android phones, the SmartTV features will be easy to browse because there is Samsung Remote Apps that can replace the stock remote to type using the QWERTY keyboard in the apps. Else, typing letter-by-letter using the stock remote is troublesome (must use T9 predictive input...). U will hate to use the SmartTv due to the keyboard entry headaches...

QUOTE(heyrie86 @ May 11 2012, 11:35 PM) just go to samsung malaysia website, Thanks for the link, but based on the model number at the back of the TV, my unit is "UA40D6600WNXXM". Thus, it is not compatible. Besides, there is download firmware online within the TV menu itseld. No need USB thumbdrive. And I have checked that the "UA40D6600WNXXM" is on 1017 firmware.under support tab, you can find your latest firmware file there.. anywhere, here's the link http://www.samsung.com/my/support/model/UA...alDownload=true |
