i read somewhere in whirpool australia forum, they said the motion rate is just a marketing gimmick..just go to tv shop, compare side by side 50 and 100 or 240 motion rate, theres not much diff..

anyway,using UA40C6900...series 8 is cun,but no money la to buy,student la katakan..  icon_idea.gif

student with 6 series edi sweat.gif sweat.gif

i think motion rate can only see diff in hd format or bluray movies

just wanted to ask here...UA40c5000 and UA40C6900...which one is more worth it?? the price difference is quite big..nod.gif so now cannot decide which one to get..

plan to watch some HD shows and might use it for gaming also..
*
UA40C5000 is 5 series while 6900 is 6 series

5 series is 50 hertz while 6 series is 100 hertz if im not mistaken.

there's a few stuff more in diff,u can compare at samsung website then decide wheter the extra money is worth it

im using UA40C5000 currently.....very satisfied with it

Don't get fooled with Senheng offer. I've asked the Samsung office pertaining to this. Why Samsung dealer cannot beat the Senheng price, or at least as cheap as Senheng? He told me that model LED TV UA40C6200 is 'very' specially manufactured for Shenheng only....  brows.gif Actually, the *so call* Series 6 LED TV UA40C6200 sold by Senheng, have technically specification same as Series 5. They just wanna blur (or blind) ur eyes only.... If anything happen to the TV (which is bought from senheng) then u have to send to senheng, not authorized Samsung dealer... and the spare-parts is from Senheng, not Samsung. nod.gif

So, think twice (or 10X) b4 u go for that offer. remind me if my information is wrong.

that's just my 1 cent friendly opinion.  tongue.gif

p/s: better u buy original Series 5 from autorised Samsung dealer....!!! (i think. icon_rolleyes.gif )
*
as long the tv follow specification frm samsung website thn its ok.i gt my ua40c5000 frm senheng too,so far no prob and happy wif it.bt a bit regret shld hv waited for series 6 offer

I'm still using factory settings. sweat.gif Will try to adjust the picture settings later. So far looks awesome~

I tried to use the Game mode with my PS3, but somehow I prefer the normal mode.

i see....

pls note tht u need to retune ur settings for evry component plug in.eg, ps3 got its own settings, bluray player own settings etc

my setting
1. (pick somewhere)
- Switch on the power to the TV and let it be in the standby mode. Do not turn on the TV.
- Pick up the remote control, and quickly press the following buttons in sequence:

Info -> Menu -> Mute -> Power.

- You must be fast enough to press the magic sequence to enter the technical calibration menu screen, or else you will just end up switching on to the normal TV channel.
- Press the Power button to exit the technical calibration screen and put the TV back to standby mode. Do not make any change to the technical setting of your TV unless you know exactly what you are doing.

2.
mine is 7-9

3.

can we extend the waranty to 5 years for SamSxng TV?
I heard that the warranty dept is not so good, it takes almost a month to repair n return.

P/S: the sales manager said most LCD or Plasma will down after 3~5 years period. so......... good luck!
