QUOTE(GKWong @ Oct 4 2012, 11:56 PM) Hi! I just got myself a new Samsung LED 40" Series 5 (UA40EH5000R). But having a problem here with the ConnectShare. I tried to play 1 mkv file from a flash drive and it is working fine. But when I tried to plug in my 2 of my external HDD, it wont detect any movies in it at all. I check from the Information it can still read the drive capacity and free space though.... BTW, all my flash drive and HDD are formatted in NTFS. I don't think that would be an issue rite? What connectors u use to connect to ur LCD?

QUOTE(GKWong @ Oct 5 2012, 03:34 PM) It can't even view any of the files and folders inside the drive. Only able to read the disk size and free space. My HDD got a lot of avi, mkv, mp4. I tried copied out to flash drive it can play. Actually ur facing the same prob like me. Flash drive or USB can play but external HDD can detect storage but no files inside. My Samsung LED manual stated that it can detect anything but ext hdd NO. I tried using BD player to play the same format & the quality from BD player was way better than using LCD itself. U have any external players like PS3 or BD player?

QUOTE(GKWong @ Oct 5 2012, 04:16 PM) u mean external media player quality is way better then the Connect Share? I got a WD Live TV, and the quality is superb with HDMI. But is kinda disappointed that we are having this problem. My friend using 46" model got no issue with HDD. U got the same Samsung media player like mine which can play movie, pictures, songs, etc. But somehow external players did produce higher quality if playing same file formats. Did u checked with the firmware whether is it update? I think is best to google & search for the issue based on ur LCD model.

QUOTE(GKWong @ Oct 6 2012, 11:46 AM) I am using the latest firmware already from Aug-2012. My unit was produced at September 2012. BTW, I tried another of my new HDD and it work! It seems like it is having some issue with Seagate HDD. Now I use WD HDD and it is working without issue. So both HDD got the same partition format?

QUOTE(GKWong @ Oct 6 2012, 11:52 AM) Yep.. same partition format. Just weird that 2 of my Seagate Momentus 7200rpm not working. It detected the drive as "OAS". Then with my WD Scorpio Black, it able to detect the drive model name and it is working. Glad that u managed to solve that. Since u said ur LCD firmware is the most up-to-date version, problem lies in the HDD itself. So u can enjoy ur movies now
