QUOTE(Ivan_T @ Sep 27 2017, 10:59 PM) KS7500 is a very nice TV from last year, however not everyone like the curved screen, I'm one of those. However, it doesn't mean that the LG is not good. Overall the features and technology behind the LG is more superior, Nanocell is as superior as the Qled and Dolby Vision is included. The WebOS is one of the best smart TV OS. It is a battle between VA and IPS panel, VA will win as picture quality is always related to native contrast and VA panel come with much higher contrast and it is easier to boost higher brightness without worrying too much about light bleed issue. This is required for HDR10 at 1000 nits brightness. Color from the KS7500 is attractive but it is actually a little over saturated, if you like more natural colors, it will be the LG. Between the 2 most peoples will take the Samsung, except those who don't like the curved screen. I'm one of the person that sort of grown into Samsung more saturated color palette (using the AMOLED Phone Note 2 all the way to S7 Edge now, as well as for the past 10 to 15 odd years living room keep getting Samsung TV). Hence why LG looks washed out to me HAHA.QUOTE(NahseK312 @ Sep 28 2017, 12:50 AM) Thanks guys, but regarding Dolby Vision - the LG's panel is only 10 bit, how does that jive with DVision's 12bit specs? Feels like it can't show DV media in its true glory... 2 years warranty covered by Samsung officially, means they will come to your house to fix any problem with your TV (and change the whole panel if required) The remaining + years (2 or 3) will be covered by the company who sell you the TV. Depends on how the company handle their warranty claim, some will charge for service fee, and usually they won't have on site service (usually). And in some rare cases they'll just replace the whole TV with an equivalent newer model if the repair fee is much higher than just giving you a new one.Oh, btw anyone knows how the 2+3 or 2+2 warranty works? If there are no parts after 4 yrs, do we get a TV of the same value we paid when we bought it, or a depreciated value? I see 11street selling with warranty options, but no info on what the warranty covers... |

QUOTE(NahseK312 @ Sep 28 2017, 03:43 PM) Thanks Ivan, Haruji. I think you're misunderstanding something lol.I think I too am used to Samsung's over-saturated colors since I'm used to the AMOLED screens as well. I do find LG's colors to be a little washed up, even on their higher & non-OLED models. Ivan, when you say benefits/advantages of DV on a 10-bit panel, is it significantly different from HDR10? I was previously under the impression that DV's primary advantage is its additional colors, which isnt overtly noticeable, but shows much improvements in 12-bit panel (vs HDR10). Note: Current TVs max out at 10-bit color, but sending a 12-bit signal helps to allow processing (like white balance adjustments) to be enabled without adding banding. - (Source : Rtings) So since Dolby Vision support 12-bit signals, it allow additional processing even when all TV Panels now are maxed out at 10-bit 12-bit panel will come, X years later The biggest difference in HDR10 VS DV would actually be the dynamic meta data which actually data encoded in the video signal to tell the TV for this scene, what kind of color/brightness/etc the TV should display, while HDR 10 is static. HDR 10 will give instruction to the TV at the beginning of the video, and the data would carry out throughout the whole video. Take note that Samsung and Amazon Prime is pushing for the next HDR10+, which is essentially HDR10 with dynamic meta data (yeah the things they do to avoid paying extra royalty to Dolby When is HDR10+ Coming? What TV will support? God knows yet haha. I ended up ignoring LG offering in favor of KS7000 primary due to the reason HDR is so damn messy now, and Dolby Vision content is very very less (I believe only a handful of Netflix videos has DV) Amazon Prime definitely pushing for the next HDR10+, while Youtube only support in general HDR10 (which hopefully will be upgraded to HDR10+ in the future) Ultra HD BluRay? Too expensive to purchase now hahaha. PS4 Pro/X Box One X? HDR10 only. |

QUOTE(NahseK312 @ Oct 1 2017, 06:26 PM) Well most Samsung remote will work (I have a Samsung TV from 8 years ago and still work with KS7000). So you just have to procure it somehow haha.Other remote that might work will be Samsung BluRay players that has a TV button on it. (my samsung HT remote also works with KS7000) IINM if your phone has an IR Blaster, you can also access the service menu through it. You can also mirror your phone to the TV, and run those LCD tester software, usually cycling between Gradient, White, Black, Red, Blue, Green full screen image to check for any weird or huge ass pixel death. |

QUOTE(NahseK312 @ Oct 2 2017, 12:10 PM) Unfortunately only my old Note 3 had a blaster, but I dont have that phone anymore. Never have problem with disconnection. Perhaps you're router is located too far away from the TV?But dad has an old remote @ home, so I'mma take that and use. Tested the TV this weekend @ streaming movies. They were super clear and nice (a bit too bright sometimes), but occasionally faced disconnection issues from home's network. Like 4~5 times in a 2hr movie. Wondering what was that about. HDR (tested with Rogue One) was AWESOME. The detailing @ ships & robots were soo good! Btw, any means of stretching the pic to fill an entire screen - without distorting it too much? The top & bottom black bars are quite annoying! If you're router is located in another room, and it's a dual band 5ghz/2.4ghz router (AC Router), perhaps you need to switch over to 2.4GHz for better stability (5ghz is damn unstable going through walls LOL) About the black bars for cinematic movies, there is not much choices but get used to it hahaha since cinematic aspect ratio is like 2.35 : 1 instead of the regular 16 : 9. |

QUOTE(ukiya @ Oct 4 2017, 04:56 PM) Wonder would iPhone facing the same threat or not!? since they devoted into OLED technology beginning iPhone X. They maybe suffered the burned mark like Samsung S7... Phone turnover rate is much higher than TV so the percentage of burn mark on display is frankly speaking quite low.Well, Samsung QLED with 1500 HDR. But performance in gaming, slightly higher than KS7000 by 1 or 2 ms difference. Not much but if there's any KS7000 still around. Its a very good buy! Only 1 of my mobile OLED hit burn out issue (orange tint at the bottom middle of the panel) which is my PS Vita 1000 from 5 years+ ago, and i suspected the burn out happen due to the charger (i think i left it charging too long once and it sort of burn the panel near the ports) I had AMOLED since Note 2, then Note 3, then S7 Edge, and phone usually by the 3rd year you already itchy want to change hahaha. I think the average of smart phone upgrade is around 2-3 years, barely any will make it to the 5th year mark (there are exception of course) |

QUOTE(ukiya @ Oct 4 2017, 06:32 PM) LOL S7 Edge has dead pixels (more like dead edge points) that probably was there since day 1 but I didn't notice it until a couple of months later. They just change the whole screen for me including the glass since it is one single unit under warranty within an hour ish. Fingers crossed I don't need to call them for any of my other Samsung products warranty (Fridge, Washing Machine, TV) |

QUOTE(hlchoo @ Oct 5 2017, 04:07 PM) Hi all, I have just installed unifi 30 and when trying access Hypp TV everywhere on my Samsung smart TV (MU6100 series), the Hypp TV app keeps saying cannot connect to internet. All the other apps are working fine. Can anyone get theirs to work? Thanks. Never install so not very sure. But on Android Box Astro On The Go require the box to be on WiFi to connect (LAN unable to connect cause it is treated as Mobile Data or something) Maybe something similar? Either that or there is no update rendering that app useless LOL. |

QUOTE(jhleo1 @ Oct 16 2017, 02:42 PM) MU7000 = Year 2017 Model, UHD Premium.KS7000 = Year 2016 Model, SUHD. On paper spec, KS7000 is far superior (winning even the newer QLED Q7F in some aspect) In terms of Design, same; build quality, MU slightly better. Problem is, KS7000 has been discontinued for a year ish, so good luck finding stocks for it. This post has been edited by Haruji Sora: Oct 16 2017, 02:48 PM |

QUOTE(jai2power @ Oct 17 2017, 12:32 PM) Finally i buy 55mu6100, PQ is great after some calibration done. Only now frustrated on HDMI ARC. I get no sound from home theater. No problem on HDMI ARC when using sony tv previously. Did anyone manage to solved this. If no solution have to buy optical cable. Samsung is notorious when pairing Arc especially with older device.I given up on mine as well and unhooked the HDMI and just use Optical. |

QUOTE(jai2power @ Oct 19 2017, 10:12 AM) Hi, Need advice, i notice on my tv 55mu6100 black is not black enough. on the egde and side of the tv can see like flash like effect. this is more noticeable when watching letterbox movie. Hmm is this normal or should i call samsung support? QUOTE(jai2power @ Oct 19 2017, 10:14 AM) Samsung LED TV series are all Edge Back Light so white like leakage is quite normal when playing movies. On total black screen then you see "some" light pollution creeping from the edge is also quite normal I guess. Unless it is a severe like pollution, like half an inch of constant light bleed then probably your back panel is loose and light is entering or the panel is getting defective. Black color not uniform is also a LCD inherent problem. If you lucky you get lesser, if you unlucky you get more. You can always snap a real life picture of your screen and post it here and Samsung support and see if they willing to do anything about it. Usually unless it is on the extreme side, you have to live with it. |

QUOTE(jai2power @ Oct 19 2017, 02:18 PM) ok guys, quick update, just came back from seng heng ss2 which is the store i bought the TV. Test the display tv 55MU6100. Notice that the display tv has no flash light effect. Black is pure black. Also i try my own movie with letterbox. the picture is perfect. No light on the edge of the TV. Seng Heng guys already arrange for Samsung technician to come and check the TV. Will update the result. Good luck. If the back light bleeding is severe enough Samsung probably change LCD Panel for you at home. |

QUOTE(nomar @ Oct 20 2017, 01:20 AM) Sorry if this has been discussed (can't find it ) but can you guys plays youtube in true 4K using built in tv apps ? No problem on my side as well (KS7000)I have KS7000 but can never get it, highest is 2560 x 1440 but mostly 1080 only. Using 50Mbps Unifi. Google search , there are few reports but seems no clear answer, thanks. I'm using 50mbps Unifi WiFi (Wireless AC connection) 5ghz. EDIT also take note 4k content is pretty much limited in Youtube, Try to search for 4K channel (those that uploaded most of the TV Demo video), and open up Stats for Nerds. It should be at full 3840 resolution (4k) This post has been edited by Haruji Sora: Oct 20 2017, 10:54 AM |

Apparently someone use it as a workaround to get 4k. Doesnt seem to like only affect KS7000, since owner of Q7, LG and etc also reporting such issue. QUOTE(anulus81 @ Oct 20 2017, 05:25 PM) just called again the store, actually the model is a display set, about 3months old, they offerred rm4,599 with 2yrs warranty. any idea guys? what do u think of the floor tv? tq For display set the best method is personally check the unit out (you can arm yourself with an older Samsung TV remote to access the service menu to check the total panel on time as well)Check the back panel whether it is glued to the display without issue (KS7000 is notorious to have back panel separation, and display unit usually will be more than home unit as they on it for prolonged period so heat speeds up the separation) Pair your smart phone to the TV, run LCD test (all color, find dead pixels) and check for color banding Run it on total black/gray screen, check for Uniformity, make sure not too much light clouding. Check the Backlight as well. |

QUOTE(jai2power @ Oct 23 2017, 03:24 PM) Guys, an update I'm beginning to think the back light bleed is due to Panel Glue problem (got gap i.e. light entering elsewhere)Today Samsung tech guy come and check the TV. Confirm TV suffer from backlight bleeding. So he change to new panel. After change done. Replacement panel backlight bleeding more worst than the original panel. Dem... So he suggest me either get a full money refund or get new set of TV which I have to wait another 7 working days. I ask for new set of TV. If new set of TV still problem then I will request full refund. Dem I should get Sony x700e instead. Hope a brand new set will not have this problem. Lemon unit always exist (in any brands/models) Just unlucky to get the lemon unit. At least the after sales service seems good then |

Or is this problem with the TV? Yeah connection too slow. Audio can stream easier than video due to bandwidth. The solution is switch to another video or switch off and on the TV.
