i think u are taking it too literal when boxy says "don't think Bale can dribble". if u read it literally then of coz that sentence is wrong la...
*
Maybe like that lor lol...But if people say players like Becks or Pirlo or Lampard cant dribble I faham la...Even Walcott who is known for beating defenders with ~100% pace, if say he cant dribble also I faham to certain extent...But Bale ah, just because this year he become famous for his goals/assists where he beat defenders mostly using his pace and agility, then people start forget the little things he did on the pitch..

if wan differentiate dribbling from running with ball so much, then Messi's one not dribble lor, is "glued to his feet while running" biggrin.gif

QUOTE(boxsystem @ Nov 9 2010, 05:50 PM)
So, can Valencia dribble then?

Added on November 9, 2010, 5:53 pm
No one is belittling Bale. As I've said, he's a good crosser and has that potential to be a world beater. He has done wonders for Spurs, no doubt. But make no mistake that he is not a fancy dribbler. That should be the right term then. He doesn't possess fancy skills or footworks.
*
you do know you are just reiterating what I said right? that's basically what I said

regarding whether he has fancy skills or not, still wait to be seen, I dont dare to say he doesnt have it biggrin.gif

and yes Valencia can dribble

jangan confuse dribbling with skills/stepovers, that's an important point

QUOTE(boxsystem @ Nov 9 2010, 06:09 PM)
Well, again it depends on how you interpret dribble itself. I've always think dribble = fancy footwork. But for you, it's running with the ball considered as dribble already.

And as for Bale's skills. I don't know. If a natural fancy dribbler, he would/will use it any point. You've seen it with Ronaldo, Nani and even Giggsy. On what point should he hide it? It's his weapon after all. Even under strict restrictions of a manager, players will tend to use their best weapons.

So, I still stood by my point. He can't dribble.  laugh.gif
*
agree with how people think dribble is..

like I said if he can beat his defender with pace then just use it rather than do tricks and showboating..actually Bale already showed some fancy footworks before, guess you havent notice it yet..one particularly against Inter when he was surrounded by two defenders..

Here's another video I wanted to show but forgot, I can say now he does have some fancy skills biggrin.gif

that brings this to an end hopefully

QUOTE(whoopa @ Nov 9 2010, 06:36 PM)
i think where sgsuser is coming from is that he can dribble. honestly all footballers needs to learn to dribble. those zig zag small cone training. that is to improve their ball control. basically all football has that certain control of ball manipulation aka dribbling.

players like cr7, fat ronaldo, ronaldinho, messi are what we call dribblers as they use it often and most effective. i dont see how bale is in that category tho. even zlatan is featured in joga bonito and to me he is not even a good dribbler. lol
*
no lah...dribbling = fancy footwork ONLY..So Bale cant dribble man, only the likes of CR7 can... whistling.gif

'We're at that stage where we're sure his knee is okay," Sir Alex told Manchester radio station Key 103. "His training performances in the previous eight or nine days were terrific."

that was SAF on Hargo..Great piece of news that..let the recovery and comeback begin

Reon,

could we have a siggy for Ole? He has departed for Molde.
*
Yeah, I missed everything that has happened rather than missing a post on a signing which I already knew...

I'm a muppet for saying Bale can dribble...Oh the irony whistling.gif

nevermind I knew you would confuse one with another, just like Essien with Mikel.

LOL. A team doesn't need all of them to be flair players. Teamwork rules. Then again, we need Bale because he can dribble and beaten Maicon on numerous of times. And also, the British media didn't overhype him...  whistling.gif
*
but you just said Bale cant dribble rclxub.gif how to beat Maicon? Pace only la. no dribbles involved..
