For Li-ion, you kenot overcharged bcos the more times you charge esp contunuing charging even after full...it will reduce the lifespan..Li-ion no memory problem but got lifespan on number of charges

I.m using Maxis broadband lah..RM99 is for 6GB and not 3GB..pretty hard to reach 6GB unless you watcgh streaming video, youtube or heavy DL. Avg only used up to 4gb/mth. Only once I breached 6GB quota & speed reduced to 384 instead of avg 1000-2300kbps.

Sometime you can really get 2300-2500kbps using Maxis but avg ~ 1400kbps & sometime can be slow too ~ 400-800kbps
You will be suprise if I tell you Watching those korean tv series on livce streaming website which is super slow esp hosted via todou or even vikii even you are on 5mbps UNIFI can sometime no lagging using Maxcis 3G,, Added latest test moment ago...can really reach 2600kbps hor but not evertime-lah ![]() QUOTE(andrekua @ Nov 2 2010, 10:41 PM) This post has been edited by stimix: Nov 2 2010, 11:05 PM |

N8 close up on daylight is already good dy...for me , touch focus is not so important compare to the ability of prolong the exposure during nite shooting, Without this N8 is almost useless during nite shooting without flash
QUOTE(emino @ Nov 3 2010, 01:35 AM) I wish Nokia N8 would consider a touch focus feature in future firmware. Close up picture will be more detailed and easier to snap (especially indoor without flash) if it does! I've used vivid on my N8 btw. Thats why the color are a bit extreme. We all know N8 has a better camera, why not just add the touch focus feature to the software? |

No need. but if you want faster acquisition rather than waiting few min for the satelite, the default setting is AGPS or assisted GPS. That's required RM0.10 per start-up.
Meaning if you switch on your ovimaps/Garmin wth AGPS 3 trimes daily, you will kena RM0.30 for that day |

Yeah actually ovimaps improved substantially for the past few mths and me too impressed wth the numbers of important POIs. Also the display is not so boring compare to Garmin.
However the lacking here is the routing. They have not improve much on the routing and keeps giving either longer way or not really perfect routings. Also the numbers of new roads are not updated such as the new SKVE from Putrajaya to Elite Highway. or the new LKSA from Kemuning to Federal highway already in the malfreemaps (Garmin) since the opening of the highway months ago but still not in ovimaps |

Probably he mean Internal GPS and not assisted
Wah you kena charged kaw-kaw liao by your service provider.. For me, RM0.10 either Maixs or Digi..kenot bluff one it's on the itemised billing Yes for RM0.10, per acquisition it is worth unless you willing to wait for few minutes.. QUOTE(BBXiong @ Nov 4 2010, 09:49 AM) what is i-GPS...first time see this term...sounds like some <insert_fruit_name_here> product not really RM0.10 lar, i think last time i had 30-50cent also, but compared to the 2 minute waiting lock time, i think worth lar that one actually depends on the satellite used...A-GPS merely addeds data triangulation to narrow down the satellite's searching time for your device, the rest is up to the satellite...and also the weather.. |

Yes for those without 3G plan, it is important to set whatever default internet gateaway from 3G/GPRS to wlan or asking for prompt 1st otherwise you will kena charge kaw-kaw for 3G..for the 1st step:
1) goto main screen>option>Widget to Online switch to offline 2) Menu>web>options>settings>general>Access point >Ask when needed & etc.. QUOTE(leperkorn @ Nov 4 2010, 10:11 AM) |
