With sufficient lighting, N8 performed well wth one of the best PNS digicam rclxms.gif but not during nite shooting due to lack of manual options sad.gif

Yeah left/top is N8 & right /bottom is Ixus 300hs. Actually not much diff..more depending on the angle taken. Ixus having the latest backlite sensor but smaller than N8 whereas N* using older tech but bigger sensor smile.gif

QUOTE(Agito666 @ Oct 31 2010, 09:50 PM)
for me the photo looks like left side is better than right... left side is n8 right?

The ixus 300HS having those functions..If only N8 having those. sad.gif
QUOTE(Andy214 @ Oct 31 2010, 10:18 PM)

I guess the N8 just lack of more controls, especially touch focus which is really nice to have and already available on other camera phones. I'm not sure if other camera phones have those controls like Aperture Priority mode, Shutter Priority Mode, etc. If none have, maybe Nokia do it again by providing these features FIRST; If not, then also another reason why they should have it.

Abit boring wth Vivaz but it still has the edge in the quality of photo shooting..Actually not much diff from N8 although wth smaller 8mp.

I dun really glorified vivaz..just luv the camera function & even some of the cam functions in Vivaz much user friendly than N8! N8 cam functions looks so outdated sad.gif

There are lotsa disadvantages on Vivaz such as no ovimaps, no support from ovistore, inferior GPS chipset & suprising slower processing although having highest processor among Symbian phones.. shakehead.gif
QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Nov 1 2010, 09:11 AM)
still remember back then u keep talking about how good vivaz was. Now the thread so quiet

problem wth papago- nowadays, MFM almost wanna write off them liao...check MFM..no more maps updates since the last beta release..The most important thing is the maps updates..I need weekly updates biggrin.gif ..papago maps update by MFM probably 3-6mths once from what I can see right now.

QUOTE(BBXiong @ Nov 1 2010, 09:36 AM)
well...throw aside the rather laggy experience..Papago is not bad..dunno why the heck it can still lag on a 800Mhz phone though...bad bad coding...

papago release abit slow bcos the new mappers need time to learn how to adapt to papago maps compiler. but atleast they are releasing a new one soon. Yeah it's abit slow and I forsee it will not be a weekly updates as GARMIN in future.. Hopefully M3gps the sole distributor of papago in M';sia will not create another blunder that causes the war between MFM & papago months ago & also resulted in the retirement of 2 sr mappers there doh.gif

On how to install papago, there is a tutorial on each release. I'm not sure how bcos I dun use papago blush.gif On Garmin very simple. Just follow the screen instruction after download biggrin.gif & thereafter you can choose to trf direct the created gmapsupp.img to you attached N8 or if you choose to install later, just copy & paste the gmapsupp file to Garmin folder of N8

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Nov 1 2010, 10:05 AM)
GPS sifu how up to date is the map of papago on MFM vs MFM garmin?

I notice papago maps getsĀ  updated not as frequent as garmin

Added on November 1, 2010, 10:13 amThe int memory card already sufficient enuf liao why wanna get an ext? biggrin.gif - edited...oh you mean the proper Garmin package...yeah likedat no choice...but not sure the license can trf to a new phone or not?

QUOTE(kae7 @ Nov 1 2010, 10:09 AM)

Very subjective question..All depending on your liking..Some prefer this capdase style casing, some simple clear condom slot in, some fabric casing will do..

For me fabric casing is the best either wth naked set or invi shielded set. auto cleaner for your camera len.
biggrin.gif
QUOTE(elite87 @ Nov 1 2010, 12:15 PM)

& the small warranty seal sooner or later sure fade wan...really dunno how they design this no battery cover phone..sigh...dilema on how to invi shield wth the 3 stickers currently on the phone doh.gif
QUOTE(stanley85 @ Nov 1 2010, 12:35 PM)
not my case. they only stick the serial on the protector. sirim and warrant both stick on the phone doh.gif
