Run some test on the Nokia N8 camera parameter:

1. ISO - 100 (LOW), 400 (MID), 800 (HIGH)
2. Shutter Speed - 1/15 secs (MIN), 1/4973 secs (MAX)
3. Aperture - F2.8 (FIXED)

All these info are from the capture photo EXIF, when set in Auto mode the ISO will have 100-800 range (in any number)...

what is the focal length?? it seem N8 fixed with 6mm focal length??

what I do to get all these min/max value was:

1. for min shutter speed, i set the exposure to +2.0 and set the ISO to 100 (LOW) then aim on something that's in low light, with all these setting the camera will be force to use the longest shutter delay to capture the desire exposure so from there we read the capture photo EXIF then the shutter speed clearly stated as low as 1/15 secs which is the lowest the N8 camera capable of (not sure if we have any third party apps later to make this lower or not as all these are control by software)...

2. for max shutter speed, i set the exposure to -2.0 and set the ISO to 800 (HIGH) then aim on something that's very bright, with all these setting the camera will be force to use the fastest shutter speed to capture the desire exposure so from there we read the capture photo EXIF then the shutter speed clearly stated as low as 1/4973 secs which is the fastest the N8 camera capable of...

Nokia N8 Screen Test (Dark Blend and Dark "Stains" during AMOLED near turn OFF mode)

All, attached here the Screen Test color cards which use to check the Nokia N8 AMOLED screen quality.

1. Extract the .zip and it contain 16 color cards with below setting, all are in 360x640 resolution:

01. ST BLACK-00.bmp are a pure black card where the RGB setting are 000000.
02. ST BLACK-01.bmp are a pure black card where the RGB setting are 010101.
03. ST BLACK-02.bmp are a pure black card where the RGB setting are 020202.
04. ST BLACK-03.bmp are a pure black card where the RGB setting are 030303.
05. ST BLACK-04.bmp are a pure black card where the RGB setting are 040404.
06. ST BLACK-05.bmp are a pure black card where the RGB setting are 050505.
07. ST BLACK-06.bmp are a pure black card where the RGB setting are 060606.
08. ST BLACK-07.bmp are a pure black card where the RGB setting are 070707.
09. ST BLACK-08.bmp are a pure black card where the RGB setting are 080808.
10. ST BLACK-09.bmp are a pure black card where the RGB setting are 090909.
11. ST BLACK-10.bmp are a pure black card where the RGB setting are 0A0A0A.
12. ST BLACK-11.bmp are a pure black card where the RGB setting are 0B0B0B.
13. ST BLACK-12.bmp are a pure black card where the RGB setting are 0C0C0C.
14. ST BLACK-13.bmp are a pure black card where the RGB setting are 0D0D0D.
15. ST BLACK-14.bmp are a pure black card where the RGB setting are 0E0E0E.
16. ST BLACK-15.bmp are a pure black card where the RGB setting are 0F0F0F.

2. Open these files with the default photo viewer.

3. Go into an enclose place (total darkness needed) wait for a while (to let our eyes get use to the darkness) and view into the phone screen.

4. From what I've observed the phone AMOLED will start to turn off start at "ST BLACK-04.bmp", "ST BLACK-03.bmp", "ST BLACK-02.bmp", "ST BLACK-01.bmp", "ST BLACK-00.bmp".

5. The screen dark "stains" will sufface as well during these few color cards.

6. Start from "ST BLACK-05.bmp" onward the dark "stains" will be not so visible.

7. All these have to be done in total darkness room as these defective "stains" are not visible at all when the surrounding are bright.

After you seen these result DO NOT simply bash N8 straight away as we're not sure why/how the AMOLED display technology work and how it perform on other devices. Anyone can use these color cards to verify on others AMOLED display devices as well...

yup... very dirty and it's under the top screen layer so impossible to be wipe out...
no need lah... don be crazy lah... i think ALL will have it and it might be as well with other Brand devices as well... let more ppls try it and see...

ur browser got problem eh...

of coz the DC have the edge lah in term of camera function because IT IS A CAMERA for god sake... the whole body can include multiple button control and the WHOLE chassis only contain CAMERA hardware...

imagine what N8 have within it's chassis:

1. Phone RF HW... pentaband some more
2. GPS HW
3. Camera HW
4. Gaming HW
5. Radio HW
6. Wifi HW
7. Multimedia player HW
8. Caplang HW include BT/Compass/Accelerometer/.....

yup... extreme smooth same goes to Avatar... very nice game... overall collected 12 HD games now...

still failed to get the Snowboard super extream 3... the one found is not compatible and all those snow field are in BLACK hahaha...

more leak on the up-coming fw...

try to get more photo of the actual CP-500 case... as from the official site cant see details...

my n8 getting so much dust when put inside the pocket with the leather flip case... a pouch might be better idea to cover it... all those dust easily get into the 3.5mm jack and micro usb port as well as the earpiece hole, mic hole, and the 2mm charger hole...
