Hi all Sifu..

Recently my avanza got this aircon problem, while the car idle or not moving, the aircon will only blow out warm air, while moving will blow out some cold air. So after some research, I think it's the compressor or condenser fan problem, so I check the fan but it's spinning. After few days, the aircon blowing air with a "sihhh" weird sound, like some gas leaking sound. The air is as hot as the air outside the car and not longer blowing cold air no matter moving or not. So I guess must be the compressor already. But my car only 6 years old, so weird compressor can broken so fast as for toyota. But yesterday I found a thing, the aircon at behind seat is blowing COLD air, only the aircon in front seat blowing hot air.. any taiko here can't share your experience for this case? Is it still compressor problem or piping error?

if the back air cond is cold..front is hot...

then i think it's the front cooling coil bocor d

if compressor and condensor got problem

back air cond will also be hot

oic... thanks for the info bro.. btw is cooling coil expensive? Can it be fix?

can be fix by changing... cant re-do the old ones..

remember dont patch it with welding

change new one lar

APM cooling coil very cheap only

go lyn garage see the cooiling coil price

any cheap workshop to recommend, any place around KL will do.

You would need a nice cabin filter/air con filter to protect your aircon system from damage by the AIR poluter. After you fix it..

I just got the car fix, but abit expensive. It's the coiling coil problem, so have to change it, here is the damage, please help me to see whether it's overcharged.

Denso Original Cooling Coil : RM450 (Not sure about the price for denso for avanza)
Gas : RM50 (Expensive because need to refill all gas)
Workmanship : RM150 (Expensive because they got to remove everything from dashboard then only got the cooling coil)
Total : RM 650

Hi, Sorry I can't help but to ask if changing cooling coil (evaporator coil?) for Innova, does the price work out similar?

weird, i was about to conclude that the condensor fan was nto strong enough, made the air hot and pressure in the pipes skyrocket, thus blowing the pipes out(or punching a hole in the cooling coil) for that metter

Its price works similarly too.. depends the workshop you went

Hi all,

1. Mine is Avanza 1.5 , 2008, bought new.

2. Last week, the aircond blew hot air from front & rear blower.

3. Sent to SC Subang, the service advisor told me the magnetic clutch was broken, need to be replaced, cost + workmanship =RM800.

4. After they replaced the clutch, the aircond still blew hot air. The service advisor told me that the compressor need to be replaced also, cost me another RM2200++.

5. Now, after i paid more than RM3000, the aircond still not blowing cold air, the temperature is like when you drive with open window in the morning. Damn. BTW, the new clutch & compressor got 1 year warranty.

6. What should I do? Sent back to SC and pay more? Arghhh...

your engine fan working or not.?

Regardless Toyota Bmw Proton Honda, if aircond no regular service sure kong in 5 years average

Update to my aircond problem:

1. Sent my Avanza to SC Subang Jaya this morning, login my complaint.

2. After another Service Advisor & a mechanic check the fan, yes.. Makky is correct, the culprit was the fan's motor. They told me to change the fan's motor (Denso). It will cost me around RM1000. That's too much for me. I declined.

3. Drove back my Avanza to my office and started calling my friend asking for a workshop. Found one at :
AEA Motor Sport, Desa Latania, Section 36, Shah Alam (Jalan Kebun area).

4. Now my Avanza has a new fan's motor (Denso, same as the old one) and it only cost me RM280++ (fully installed). And the aircond is cold like new.

5. Sorry SC, I'm not trying to scare your customer but for ordinary people like me who drive Avanza, the extra RM700 means a lot to me.

For my car, i always install secondary fan unit at front for extra cooling and protection in case the main one go kaput...
