pennie, congrats! no u should not listen to u CL. she would b sabotaging ur bf. ur newborn is too young for bottle feeding. he might b experiencing nipple preferance coz milk flow faster n become lazy to suck. have u tried lying down n latch on sideways? i usually nurse my boy n co sleep together. save my sanity n milk supply. if u prefer someone to visit n give u guidance on bf refer to my first post. check out the link for the peer consellor. they dun charge a thing. they r passionate abt bf. go ahead. find someone near ur area n give her a call. she'll b glad to help u out. else u can turn to the breastfeeding advocate network in facebook. the link is oso in first post. gambateh! we all been there n u too can do it! u need to b informed correctly rather than being insulted by ur CL. she's not helping at all!

metaltooth, if ur wife already stop dairies, then y did the doc recommend formula milk which oso comes from cow? quite confusing aint it? i think u need to test wat may gives ur daughter allergy... mayb u need to get air purifier... change the bedsheet often... mayb there's mites on the bed... one mummy in the breastfeeding network tested almost everything to c wat gives her baby allergy n guess wat? it's latex >.< so i think it'll b a long way but it's better to know the coz rite? or as always, do join the breastfeeding network in facebook as u might get better ideas coz they r 3k+ members there

jasmine, y wean so fast? anyway u can hand express instead of pumping to relive the hard rock sensation. u wanna let the body know that they dun have to produce more. if ur baby is just 3mo ur body is just stabilise the supply. it's a pity but it's ur decision. as for the pain i'm not sure. do u feel any lumps?

daddy chOOOk, i think it's normal... coz the body is still building its supply n getting used to it... at this time he dun need much... he just got a strawberry size (if i remember correctly) stomach now... so he gets hungrier faster... bm is oso easier to digest... fm will expand the stomach like how u as an adult eat too much n u feel sooo full till u feel like get eno to relieve it... another is fm is hard to digest so they won't feel hungry faster than bf... wat ur wife can do is try to pump after bf or bf on one side, pump on the other... the idea is to trick the brain that the body needs to produce more milk... if can latch as often as possible coz bb is the best breastpump... oh ya remember that the breast won't b empty, it's an endless pit of breast milk factory n oso remember to give her ur support n encouragement... she needs all of these gambateh....

StrawberryGirl, actually u dun have to take anmun lacta... u know fm is not the best for baby coz it's cow milk n all the watever AAA is added into it... so it's the same wif anmun lacta... it's all added n processed... won't it b better to take other supplements n better diet for better nutrition?

u can get any cooler bag i think... i bought mine at fabulous mum - mom's little one i think... or u can get those fridge to go or coleman... oh n remember to learn emergency tips like if one day u forgot to bring ur cooler bag n ice pack... or even ur breastpump >.<
