Just wanted to ask can i own a drum in my house??? Cause my is terrace house with double storrey....
I scare it will disturb my neighbour and is there anything to reduce the sound of the drum??? Like put some net on the drum. Besides i saw something like a plastic rack that can cover thw whole drum ?? Can it cover up all the sound and it is expensive?? Coz i can only own a second hand drum |

QUOTE(nexuz @ Apr 3 2007, 10:12 AM) Hickory and 5A. Sometimes like a 7A pair. For hotrods, ProMark has them and you can find a couple in Bentley if I'm not mistaken. For hickory and 5A/7A, the best choice would be Vic Firth. It felt really comfortable when I tried out a pair of 5A hickories the first time. Too bad I ain't no hickory user. What flaws are you talking bout? Regarding the Zildjian sticks. I know pro-mark is ok too. Anyway, i looking for some hot rods. Something like this, ![]() Once used a vic firth. Kinda good but feels weird in my hands. Don't know why. I've tried quite a number of Zildjian sticks in the past and I found a handful of them out of shape, as in when you roll them on a flat surface, it doesn't roll on evenly. Vic Firth. Hmmm.... might go get myself a pair of VIc Firth. Try it out. Anyone know the price for the HotRods i am talking about? Agreed with your comment on Zildjian sticks. Some may be out of shape. sooner or later i got used to it. HAHA... |

I used to have the Pro-Mark Millenium II Japanese Oaks 2B and they are really durable. That pair lasted for 5-6 months after I got my drumset. But I've been using it for well over 2 years. Through time I got used to the weight, too accustomed to the weight actually. 5A sticks feel like chopsticks in my hands now.
For the time being, I am using Tama Oak sticks. Pretty good I'd say, but not as good as the Pro-Mark oaks. |

Eh, beginner should take 2B la. Not 7A.
It's recommended to start with the thickest. Some would say 5A or 5B, which is the middle. But never start with 7A. |
