hi guys, i owned a D5000 a week ago. I found out that when i take a night scenery with tripod, ISO 400, and 3" shutter speed and the picture come out not so sharp and have quite alot of noise . Please advise.

Maybe u should use smaller aperture for sharpness ? Anyway i try to zoom the picture and thats not really noisy for me btw.

Wan less noise then use ISO100 and longer shutter speed since you already have tripod and time.

Brw, are you pixel peeper?

If i'm not mistaken, i saw he is holding something.. like a torch... Long shutter + small aperture + torch will do the trick smile.gif

Go read some online reviews ! There are tonnes of them about external flash and what you can do with them.

It's FUN.  thumbup.gif

Any link for the bolded part?

Do you manually adjust the speedlite or just leave it with TTL?

QUOTE
Modeling Light

Some new flashes have modeling light. Modeling light is used for checking scene illumination and shadow. When it is activated, the flash emits a reduced flash burst repeatedly for a short period of time. In this way, a photographer will be able to check scene illumination and shadow. The image below shows the modeling illuminator button of a Nikon SB-80DX flash.

It means that the speedlite will keep flash for a period of time?
