Kinda sucks you are stuck with a German version...

You tried sending a message to Gamer's Gate about it?
I never tried but I read they are usually pretty nice so they might be helpful and give you a refund in bluecoins or something.

Nothing guaranteed but worth an email smile.gif

About THQ sales I think I have all THQ titles that I want already....

"Shits happen" really.

Always good to have a backup available online where it can't get damaged/lost etc.
Does not cost you anything more either.

Also like you move to a new place and decide to leave ori cds back home because it takes too much space etc.

Agreed it's not a huge thing but still a convenience.

lulz

steam is recruiting fresh meat.
well, more like very experienced fresh meat.

Was surprised by that ad really, didnt think Valve would have trouble hiring people, having the "cool and nice guys" reputation they have.
Putting an ad on Steam is a bit strange considering their are located in the US after all.

Still the ad was quite nicely put and even a bit funny smile.gif

SupCom2 DLC only affects Skirmish and MP, nothing in the SP campaign.

Skirmish against AI is still doable alone though.

Adds new maps, units and techs

seems like someone is butt hurt.

they should force publishers to stop using gfwl too.
*
Thing they don't get is that developers don't make their games "Steam must be used" for pleasure, they do it because they use Steamworks for achievements, chat, matchmaking etc.

GFWL does the same too, but in my opinion in a much poorer way.

Developers don't want to have to reinvent the wheel each time when companies like Steam provided the tool to easily plug stuff into their game.
From what I read also the Steamworks JDK is pretty easy to use

Updated once yesterday but then when it restarted after the update I had "Cannot connect to server now, try again later" error for maybe 1-2 hours.

Been a long long time since I have seen this error

How's Mount & Blade?
*
There is a thread around about it.

It's pretty good if you like medieval battles, it's basically the best mounted chivalry fights I have seen in any game whatsoever.
Siege battles are pretty good if a bit messy

The game is pretty much an sandbox where you can pretty much go anywhere you want fighting, recruiting troops, doing some missions for lords, joining a faction or instead staying solo.

There is also MP going on and they are pretty ok

For 10 bucks with the xpac bundled with it, I would say it's a very good deal if you are into this kind of game.

Kotor works perfectly fine on widescreen, there is a fix for this available on the Steam forum.

I got it, works on my 1920X1080 screen very nicely

Main menus and co will have black bar on the side but once inside the game there is no issue whatsoever, no black bar, HUD fits right place etc.

Google is your friend really

Once they fixed their server I don't think you will be able to continue playing it though, not sure.

Otherwise people would just copy over the files of games from someone else and it would work.

Personally I own it already anyway ^^

Dont think it's anything related to Steam though, I am happily downloading at max my speed here from China, 250-350 with some peaks at 400+.
EFLC took me a bit more than a good night to download.

Login in and co also works without issue.

Not trying to be a smartass to people having issues really but it's more Shitmyx that is having fun with you guys I believe...

Steam is more problematic when your line isnt so great compared to other softwares, but I would use Steam more like the canaries in the old mines, Steam is my early warming that something is messed up with my line

haha u r in china so i think u r not aware of the current issue of streamyx capping international lines over here.

Yar, I read about that. but just that I still see people blaming Steam for their slow speed... it has nothing much to do with them and if anyone think Steam can somehow improve their service in Malaysia they are delusional.

Steam "Malaysian" download servers are most probably not hosted in Malaysia anyway, that's why you guys are still getting screwed up by Shitmyx cap on international links when downloading from "Malaysia" download group. I am sure that if I choose Malaysia as my download server I could get much faster speed than you guys.

So really, don't blame steam, blame Shitmyx, their monopol or the crappy gomen.

I also have faster download through gamergate than Steam usually. There are ups and downs in both services though.
Again, I am downloading from China so I don't have the Shitmyx cap thing, but GG still faster for me

No sales for Fallout New Vegas  sad.gif

The game is new....

Seeing people asking for sales on FNV or Black ops is a bit depressing... I pretty much doubt these will get any significant discount this Xmas... try next year Summer sales or something....

if a game is new, sells good, and the developer / publisher expects people to buy it regardless of any discounts, dun expect any discounts for it anytime soon.
*
Agreed, there is a difference between hoping for sales and still believing in Santa Claus really smile.gif

Black Ops and FNV are still top 2 in the Steam "Best Sellers" panel (if I omit the currently on sales stuff which stay there for the sale and then are gone)

From a business point of view it would be silly to give sales on such games before Xmas when so many people will be ready to pay full price for them for Xmas either for themselves or as a gift to someone.

BFBC2 I could see on sales, especially since Vietnam is out soon, would make sense to give a sale on the base game to tempt people to buy Vietnam.

Question about steam

Is it possible play 2 different steam game at the same time.

eg. XXX steam account

XXX account has AAA and BBB game.

Log in XXX account on computer LALALA and play AAA

Log in XXX account on computer BABABA and play BBB?
*
No, one account can only be logged in one place at the same time.

After that you could try to play offline on your second computer or run the games directly from the folder without Steam running (mind not all games support this)

Quite tempted to get Mafia 2.

Hmm probably wait for a bigger discount on that.

For the game it is, I would say to wait too for bigger discount or some package with the DLCs.
