I will say here right here: Paypal is a piece of crap and they think that we should beg them to use their service instead of the other way around.

They are way too troublesome for anyone that has a bit of a special situation and then starts to ask you real life papers to justify continuing to use their service.

I have been unable to use Paypal since I changed country, right now they ask me for some real life copies of my bank account info or residence bill to proof I am me.

Sorry buddy but you arent getting this kind of personal info that will be stored I dunno where and seen by I dunno who so I have the "privilege" to use your service.

For info I have no issue whatsoever with Steam today from China, logged in and out few times today due to restarts, community works, was able to browse store, re-downloading Metro 2033 right now. Didnt try to buy anything though

You can do the objectives anytime before the 20th, you don't HAVE to do them in the 2 days period.

That's because there is no issue with Steam, it's with your internet in Malaysia, I am in China and never had an issue with Steam for the past 2 years I have been here, yar sometimes download are a bit slow (for me 80kbts is slow) but I can always log in, see community except the couple of times it has been down for maintenance etc.

I am originally from Europe and there Steam works flawlessly all the times as well.

You guys really need to realize there isnt anything really wrong with Steam, it's with Shitmyx and the overall low quality of international internet connection in Malaysia.

The issue right now with account blocked seems to be something wrong between Paypal (which I repeat I found to be a piece of crap of service) and Steam, it should get resolved soon.

But people QQing to Steam about not being able to log on or slow download are banging on the wrong door...

About the current locked accounts I can't say, mine is working fine but I havent bought stuff for a while and I only pay through debit card since Paypal refuse any transactions with me

Just that some people in previous pages mentionned that could be some transactions that are being put under "review" by paypal due to whatever reason and Steam see that as a potential hack or fraud and block the account.

I would say it's something strange that's happening today, couldnt find anything about such issue on Steam forums either.

Nope nothing on Steam forums, People QQing this morning about the trailer achievements which got changed or that JustCause is part of the achievement and they cannot play it since they don't have a DirectX10 card (so they can't get all objectives and miss on the TF2 hat) but I didnt see anything about locked accounts
