Based on all those models and except the Filco's leatherette wrist rest which is not bundled with keyboard, 7G is the most idealistic typing keyboard for me because of the palm rest.
*
i have 3M leather wrist rest. gel fill. i like it a lot. looks high class and super comfortable.
still i like it adjustable, instead of fixed position,i like gel or foam fill (filco & ducky rest) instead of hard plastic.

so i will always go for 6Gv2 instead of 7G

they slightly more feel more lighter then the brown switches. but the typing sound generated from the keyboard is very low. and silent. biggrin.gif

letter from EK
QUOTE
A VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE:

FILCO products have been in short supply recently, and this has been due
to our supplier not being able to meet market demand. We're very sorry
for this inconvenience; particularly at this time of the year!

Unfortunately, despite our recent efforts, our supply of FILCO products
will not be improving, so we have taken this turn of events as an
opportunity to search for alternative products which can meet our
customers' demands.

So without beating around the bush too much, in Jan/Feb 2011 EK will
offer a new keyboard line-up with Cherry MX switches!

These boards will replace all FILCO products (and then some:). We've
selected them with much discretion, and believe they will meet or exceed
the quality and functionality of FILCO products and provide a better
value in a very competitive market!

Further details to follow on our website soon. We appreciate your
continued support!

Just a simple mechanical keyboard with MX Brown switches, nothing special also, don't think it specialized for any game.

*
professional gamer like fruit dealer, they all prefer good quality kb, great performance, NKRO, very durable..that's all they need.
no need bling bling, or any macro keys. =)
104 key keyboard without any macro, simple and clean kb. people will like it.

Hey guys, I am just curious, what is the difference between PBT and ABS keycaps mentioned on mechanical keyboard?
*
http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=NKe...ogy+and+Results

ZXC fail so it doesn't even pass 3KRO.
so just 2KRO
and gaming optimize cluster.
WASD.

Hey fssbzz,

It doesn't mentioned anything about PBT and ABS in the website... Anyhow, are you the same person as fssbzz in geekhack? Cause I see that you got yourself a Ducky 9008 Mix switches. May I know where does the brown switches starts from? Cause I see some Chinese forum they starts from [F] and ended at ["]? Also did you get it from pchome with $20 US shipping? How fast is the shipping?
*
5days to be deliver once it ship.depends on country customs.

Thanks for the picture~! Also.. What do u think of the difference between PBT and ABS. Also would you recommend the mix version or pure version to someone who is looking for brown switches?
*
i would say pure version instead of mix.
feels kind weird when typing on a mix switches.
i like the cherry mx blue on the numpad.
but not mx black on those big keys like enter backspace, shift except spacebar.
so overall i still think that full pure brown version the best.

PBT got better quality and going to last longer.
but feel very slippery, i probably already use to ABS.
so i think PBT is kinda slippery for me. i like ABS better when typing on it.
ABS is a lot cheaper the pbt.

What's the advantage of having Cherry Black on the spacebar?
*
you usually bottoming up space bar when u type very fast.
cherry mx black require force more then any mx switch, it might help a bit to prevent that bottoming key happen.
reduce the noise of typing.

I would like to get blanks for all my alphabet keys...

Do they sell keyboards like that, or do I have to buy the blank keycaps myself? Anywhere recommended for me to get those blanks?

Planning to buy a filco blue, or a Ducky Blue... Haven't really made my mind... Ducky's design is really mouth-watering but Filco's quality is unmatched...
*
like something like this?
my full blank ducky 9008
user posted image
ducky 9008 quality are very good.
quality issue only happen on ducky 1087 tenkeyless version.

Of cause mx black is quieter, if using MX blue especially BW even thought not bottoming the spacebar is very noisy.
*
ya. those clicky sound drive me nuts. and the crispyness of cherry mx blue, i don't like it at all.

change to blank, try to improve my own typing skill, and avoid my brother from touching my kb.

As for Ducky, the quality is good but when compared to Filco a lot of reviewers say Filco is better, as it uses a heavier backplate and stuff. What do you think?
*
ducky use aluminum plate. filco use regular metal plate.
that's why ducky are lighter.
for full size ducky. ducky have very good quality compare to filco.
http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=Island:13063
i will say ducky fully win with the features, and design.
