Why don't just wait for much later series such as 560? or maybe the 28nm generation?

Once the 560 releases, I think AMD might lose in this series ( Even though I'm AMD fans  ). I never thought in budget wise, Nvidia has actually handled it quite well this time. And you can see that in terms of power saving, the difference is just 70 ( I saw the review ). But seriously, after i saw the price and review, I personally felt that I'm buying 5870 is worth it 1 year ago. XD. But hey, driver is still no mature yet, so 6000 series will really push up the power to the max. That time it might be push to 70% diff

That's unlikely to happen unless Nvidia cuts the prices for GTX570 which is also unlikely to happen.The Cayman was supposed to be a 32nm part,had it been 32nm it would be faster than the GTX580 and use less power while being priced like right now.

I forgot that the HD6950's MSRP is 300USD only,so it's relatively cheap and fast.Quite worth it imo unlike the HD6970 which equals the GTX570 but costs more.HD6950 is only 10%+- slower than a HD6970 
Now waiting for the HD6950's price to drop back to MSRP

i work in a plastic injection factory and this kind of rework is quite usual

juz now went to danga city mall, hd6950 price is near rm1200
while gtx 570 and hd6970 are around rm1350
if the pricing is like that then hd6950 is out of my selection
now very headache to choose between gtx 570 and hd6970
