Getting a brand new desktop soon, and since the 6xxx series is coming up soon ( from what I've heard, correct me if I'm wrong). Is it still worth getting a 5850 for around ~900 bucks?

Will a procc like AMD Phenom X4 955 or perhaps an Intel Core i5 750 be able to optimally use a 6870? In other words, will the processor "bottleneck" the GPU's performance?

Okay since bottlenecking is present in every single system, will an AMD Phenom X4 955 suffice or would i have to get something better, ie the i5?
