cayman architecture dual graphic engine, are that mean that graphic card have started real multicore era(considered that shader processor as thread rather than core)

do you open internet browser, most likely your browser have hardware acceleration which make antialliasing takes effect, maybe windows aero also take it

blackops have cpu lag issue, your hd5970 not throlled? Beside black ops are too easy for hd5970, maybe if you put max setting. gpu usage wont be higher than 40%,hence less current used

because malaysia are hot country, i bet powercolor wont release this model, scared of massive rma, beside passive-cooler are dependent to environment temperature

its possible (for other country, not hot country like malaysia), see how many temperature when running on place without a/c when the stock cooler reaches 80c

for hd6970 seems like typically 50% increase of performance over hd6870, assuming that gtx580 are 39% higher performance than hd6870, this card may be faster, but priced at same price of 3999yuan with gtx580, and 6950 was priced 2999yuan in china. There also humor that hd6970 may also faster than hd5970,Stay tuned

p.s -from the image, its seems like hd6900 dont support 3/4 way crossfire, maybe because of dual-engine that was used for cayman(which may similar to crossfire scalling as well)

looks like hd6970 maybe faster than hd5970 especially tessellation of coz

we cant do anything lol..its seems like hd6900 series are targeted for enthusiastic market..they get their gtx580 at 3999yuan while in our country, can get as low as rm1600

im estimate that msrp should be:
hd6950=usd350
hd6970=usd450
since msrp of hd6870 are usd239.99,increase of 60usd for hd6950@usd299 seems impossible

its just my estimation,maybe hd6950 should be around usd319.99/usd329.99
Hope amd can used the old hd5850/5870 msrp pricing back at usd269/usd399

hd6900 are not disappointment guys

hd6970 are fighting against gtx480/gtx570, guess the pricing will be similar to hd5870 when released
beside hd6900 uses new arc(4shader,dual engine), guess the driver will be improve the performance later on

dont forget phsyx
yes, they will use 2gpu offers again to fight against nvidia top card

dont forget the die size are only 390mm they can make 520mm die size gpu if they want to
they still in delimma becoz create >400mm hd2900 failure, so my guess they wont make big die gpu, unless their market share >70%

there also some rumor that current hd6970 have disabled shader, maybe the new arc are too advance,so got yeild issue, just hope they will price as hd5850/5870

erm if improvement,it should be minor when using new arc, unless u said smaller manufacturing technology, can accept la,coz more transistor, more performance

nice scalling ratio, i guess u must have at least 4.0ghz i7 cpu to get this ratio

its look liek amd is delivered with tesslelation result, even with nvidia tesellation demo, thats what the new arch is all about,increase tesellation performance

but sometime people are brand loyalty, nvidia over ati, some people choose over graphic card cooler design(which you wont see 99% of time,when using closed casing

hd6970 - 275 euro = rm1156.23 (not including vat, i think)
hd6950 - 225 euro = rm946.01 (guess not including vat either)

video memory may affect little bit performance difference with low resolution, but memory speed and width size may effect performance. High number of memory may relevant on big view distance, texture quality, screen resolution
