why conned?? if he have the budget sure can get 580, its really the fastest single gpu now with nice temp n nice low noise

why cant u understand a card THAT IS FASTER on same temp and uses 70w more isnt too much

yeah 30% faster so uses 70w more lo. and same temp. u try 5870 30% higher clock than stock how much temp? sure 90-100c

if u r gonna set up eyefinity then go for the 2gb.. if only normal use 1monitor/1lcd 1gb is enough

u dont have to crack your head to choose 1gb or 2gb. if u r only using 1 monitor 1080p just use 1gb. and if big big big monitor like 55' or 60' n above or more than 1monitor then choose 2gb

there will b one 'turbo' 6870 which the clock will b very high as according to *techpowerup

no such thing happen to my ati card also. probably a noob owner

my laptop is 9600+acer led and desktop 5870+HP w2408h.. the 5870 is smoother+better color+sharp n clear especially for 720p videos and of course pairing with a better monitor

5970 will not be beaten! not until the rumoured 585/595 a.k.a dualcard from nvidia came out

5870 to 6970.. not much of an upgrade

its always like this.. in the professionals' world they compare the BEST-CARDs regardless single or dual
