i using wow us...download patch only...no playing~~~
i had tried to open....it is ok....but gamehub failure to open the wow only>

So i means gamehub only can open WOW TW ORI version....haizz

I have a friend using gamepath to play wowtaiwan also, but i believe he is using taiwan client, so i have no way to confirm whether gamepath able to allow wowtaiwan using English client. If u somehow subscribed with gamepath, maybe u can check with them on the troubleshooting on how to get it fix.

select wowtw, and bind ur exe, should be able to do so. for gamehub
1 thing bad for gamehub is, kadang kadang, you execute the game will cause error. have to click a few time start.
if you key in chinese character in game. it will also cause wow to stop, and get error

now i use direct connect, just worried when lvl85 open...

I doubt if he even tried it before posting something, since i see him blow water a lot in other threads...

maybe he fully updated the us client, then edited the realm list file and cannot connect to wow taiwan?
so he thought "cannot merge" liao etc.
perhaps he dunno that wow taiwan cata only start 9 dec 2010.

if not, then he is just trolling / spamming gua.

p/s i was from private server and really wish to play on retail.

There are free trials on WoW taiwan, so you could actually test it out before buying it >_> That's what i did.
You could actually go to your nearest cc with WoW US installed and copy them into your HDD and bring it back home, that will save a lot of times.

If this problem really exist, all the seniors will be posting out this issue here already, if no one says about it, means it still works.

I need to comment on this,

If u have been following this thread or even take some time to read up the first post, u probably already have a solid idea of how's the latency like in wowtaiwan. I have even posted a screen shot with latency of 100 ms. Now, there's also not less than 6 people from lowyat.net tryout wowtaiwan, and joined the guild. They have absolutely no problem at all and i believe the latency have certainly lived up to my claim.

As per what kEazYc mentioned, there are free trial in wowtaiwan, maybe u should give it a try and check up the latency by yourself.

I am certainly grateful for all the inputs given, or even helps given in this thread, (this is not only directed to u, but all the poster) however, to avoid confusion in the future, would appreciate poster to backup any statement / opinions with facts or details of your opinions.

That is why i have ask u to explain or elaborate on why u think that "US version can no longer able to "merge" with taiwan version.."

Nonetheless, the game is still on as we speak, it is not broken yet, rest assured that if its broken (Log in issue, patching issue, wowtaiwan with US client issue etc), u will know it here first hand.

And we can find a solution together.

Malaysia time and Taiwan time different.

There is more than 1 realm.

and cataclysm hits taiwan already, no maintenance/updates needed, as long as ur in latest wow us patch, ur good to go.

use us realm list and launcher for updates

then use taiwan realm list and wow.exe to connect to wow taiwan via english client.

but how to see the names of the realms? >_<
