I'm new to WoW, and I decided to buy the level boast but I need someone to help clarify a few things for me
1) Is this guild still active?
2) Are you guys willing to guide this little noob?
3) Which classes do you recommend for a noob like me, i like dps classes

1) Guild active. Besides the regular, many people coming back. If you do a read on the current state of wow, there's no update for a while, so, many members went idle. But dont worry, ppl will come back, especially when New expansion hit. I am in fact one of them.

2) Yes. But most of the time, we will get Mr www.wowhead.com to guilde you.

3) Any class you like.

Note: No need to buy for the character boast or CD key, just pay for monthly or gametime and can start playing.

How do I join the guild?

I updated a little bit.

Will create new thread when WOD hits

1) PST guildmembers in game or by /who coffeenottea in your chat to get in the list of guild members online and get in touch with them to get officer available to invite.
2) Leave a message at facebook page
3) U may also leave your ign (In game nick) here or pm / post us your details and we will attempt to invite u into the guild at the earliest chance possible.

I'm wondering, since i'm never a PVP player ( I survived Gorgonash, but I'm happy in a non-PVP server like Shu'halo)

IS it worth switching from US-Shu'halo, despite the fact that in a way I do detest PVP-ing?

Hey fellow Gorgonash, we used to be there too.

The fact is:

1) Whether do you want to spend for WOD CD key?
2) Do you need the flexibility of playing with Game time, rather than monthly subscription
3) Although the latency different is not it used to be since we now have Unifi, but wowtaiwan still lower in general and stable

Assuming you already have Level 90 at Gorgonash, you will need to:

1) Relevel your toon to level 90 to enjoy new content (WOD)
2) Possible language barrier if you are non Chinese literate

Now, blizzard now allow one toon to direct level to 90, but you will probably need a toon above level 60 to allow that.

My situation is this.

I was in Gorgonash until level 30++ (don't ask why) but then had to quit the game due to economic reasons (and the fact that I got hacked didn't help). This was right in WOTLK


I came back last 1-2 years (don't actually remember) and I'm in Shu'halo, brand new account and all, but I don't consider myself anything remotely near hardcore. Also for whatever reasons I found PVP server (Thaurissan) a little too distasteful for me. 2 Level 90s for me, and I felt burnt out already.

And yes the idea of the game time is really enticing because this month i may be able to, the next 3 months not, then one week holiday where i can really go all out, then the next week dissappear.


My only concerns are two (which are quite legitimate)

1. How bad is ganking and all (its a PVP server after all, i have suspicion that i'm going to foot some massive repair bills since i'm not a pvp guy at all)

2. what kind of players do the guild needs? If i'm not fit for the criteria then its futile for me to even think of jumping, no?

1) Ganking happened, but if you have a cool mind, it shouldnt bother you. It happened sometimes when you are in a e.g. let say, quest island etc. But it seldom happened when leveling. If it happened, go grab a coffee.

Also as fa as i recall, there is no repair fees for PVP dead.

2) Guild welcome everyone. There is a solid guild raid team, but dont expect hardcore raiding.

My point is, you only need to concern:

Other than this 2, i dont see why you should not try wowtaiwan.

You can always try wowtaiwan first since no need for CDkey, then only you decide if you want to continue or start back at Thaurissan.

Off course, if Thaurissan, you need to buy the CD key

I guess I can learn to 'tolerate' the ganking parts, especially if no repair bills on pvp.
But yes, language will be a barrier. But I suppose its a good trade off. Will have to see.
Character transfer is expensive, but I think its the only thing worth doing at this point, assuming I take that leap of faith. (If its even possible at all)

Since now we have "looking for raid" function, it should be fine, as you can play with English client in wowtaiwan

As for character transfer, currently you cant transfer from US to wowtaiwan

Is the WOD expansion releasing the same day as US?

I think I'll be joining WoW Taiwan if the new server in Australia is worse than when it's located at the US.

The tutorial thread? ha thats million years ago. Try use a google translate etc to get over the registration.
