This week i face the problem of starting the car twice. I pressed the pedal few times(and the pedal become harder and harder), yet the car can not start. then i checked the white thingy near the break pedal, confirm it came out every times i pressed the pedal but still can not be started. then i slot in the key, notice there is LED light underneath the key slot, then i removed the key. try to pressed the pedal again, pushed the button, then only the engine roared. Anyone face this problem before ? from previous posts by other owner, we know that the engine can not be started due to the sensor(white thingy) is not come out after we press the break pedal. but this time i confirm it was out but still can not start. Anyone face this issue ?

Bro, i just only kena this problem last week for the first time .... once the brake got harder and harder, when i press the start button, only the radio , aircond switch on ... and it keep saying that i never press my brake pedal ... i spent 10 minutes closing door , open door, locking, unlock ... untill finally i had to jam the brake hard a few times then only can start .... aiyooo .... gonna do service tomorrow and complain about the problem ler ...

i really doubt wht SC can do as this is intemittent. Pls feedback here ur result from SC tomoro.
BTW, how old is ur car? mine nearly 1 year.

i also experience the same thing. break hard to press. but can switch on the engine without any problem. but sometime yes cannot. usually if cannot at 1st attempt, then i press harder can switch on ler..

its not often, dunno on what occasion the break is hard to press. must caused by something.. usually no problem one.

yes, but this week, i face 2 times need to try few times only can start. don know wht the reason. and i am going to let my wife drive my car. really scare she doesn't know how to handle...
earlier we thought is the white thingy stuck and can not come out after press the break. but this time i confirm the white thingy is out after i pressed the pedal, yet, the engine can not start.

One of my friend who drove a peugeot told me that he has been using patronas 95 on his 308 turbo has experienced better power and fuel mileage. So 2 day ago, when I changed to use the Patronas 95. To my surprised, I really can felt that the car has immediately improved on the power. Just curious, does anyone has the same experience?
You should try the Patronas 95 and you will understand what I said.

Dam....! I have been using Shell all this while because of its international branded and bonus link pts. I always felt the car quite sluggish using Shell even with the engine is stated 124 horses.

omg will this happen to a 2010 forte? worried man..anyways i have a swift and vios at home. both was using shell and recently change to esso 95. performance is much better compared to shell.

i also got this problem but manage to start when keep trying and i encounter this problem several times...until last time when face this problem i started the car by press and hold down start button method...after that until today i can start with normal method without problem...donno it is bcoz of that alternative method or just my luck..but i was told it is something to do with brake switch..have to adjust or replace the new one...
