QUOTE(redninja @ Nov 15 2010, 10:32 AM) I hate caravan, only stuck with it to get the achievement. Gambling is super easy with Luck at 6 onwards - boosted +1 with Naughty Nightwear which can be bought from Mick & Ralphs in Freeside for less than 200 caps (+10 speech too), and Luck +1 from New Vegas Medical Clinic. At Luck 9-10 in Blackjack you will get 21 all the time, even with 19 and you hit .. you will get 2! Unfortunately each casino has their own limits 10-15k. It is best to go close to the limit then hit the slots, you can get some mad caps like 30,000+ with one pull. Then you get banned from gambling. It's okay as it is more caps that you will ever need. That's why I dont gamble at the casinos. I hate that limit. And I'm already banned at the Tops & Ultra-Luxe BTW. I dont think 30K would be enough for me. Repairing my Gobi Sniper Rifle would cost around 9K each time I go for a Cazador/Deathclaw/Nightstalker hunting spree. Add that cost to feeding Boone's ammo for his sniper rifle (and he's very trigger happy whenever we go wandering in Legion territory). And I make my own ammo. .308 JSP FTW! My team is very high maintenance. Any of you guys get that Veteran Ranger Armor? I tried looking everywhere for a Veteran ranger to kill but couldnt find any. I'm using the Van Graff Combat Armor which I stole from the crate in front of Silver Rush. It doesnt add to the weight because it's marked as a Quest Item and it doesnt deteriorate as fast as a normal Combat Armor.

Started playing 2 weeks ago. New Vegas has the feel of the old fallout games. Some of the soundtracks are from the original fallout 1 & 2. Anyone here tried the anti-material rifle? The damage is very high but kinda expensive and few ammo.

I've tried the anti-materiel rifle but didnt like it. I'm sticking to my Gobi. BTW, you can get tonnes of 50mm from Hoover Dam. I finally got that NCR Combat Armor. The only problem is that no one can repair the helmet. If you wanna repair it, you have to murder more Veteran Rangers to get another helmet (Incidentally, that's how I got the anti-materiel rifle too). Had to reload a previous save when I was at level 29 so that I can take Jury Rigging at level 30. Went to Vault 22. It was just too awesome.

Currently I'm at lvl 26. Doing the quest to find some brain sample for Rex. LOL..Dam Hoover appears to have some bugs. My Xbox hang each I explore it >< The Brotherhood power armor kinda useless in New Vegas. It only give bonus +1 strength + 25 rads. Compare to the original + 3 strength.

I never bring any of companions into Hoover Dam. They'll mysteriously 'disappear'. So I just tell them to wait outside. Actually, I've been carrying around a dog's brain in my inventory but havent done the Rex quest yet. I killed this Fiend leader on one of the quests from Camp McCurran and one of her dogs had a brain in its inventory. I have ED-E as my non humanoid companion. It's like having R2D2. Not only that the power armors are quite useless, some of the perks as well. Grimm Reaper Sprint was my favorite perk in Fallout 3, in Vegas it only restores 20 AP upon successful kill. And IMHO energy weapons are dumbed down in Vegas. In F3, I just had that unique Plasma Rifle from the Rivet City quest and used it all through the DLCs. In Vegas, I'm not that keen on using energy weapons. Maybe it's because of the lack of Enclave soldiers.

Well, Rex is also a robotic dog. ha ha ha..Got it from Elvis. lol...My favourite weapon is the Sniper Rifle. Much effective in killing those deathclaws. Man, they are tough to kill! Gauss Rifle has a very high damage. Saving it for the heavy armoured boys. Ha ha ha.

For Rex there are a few brains that you can choose from - it will give him different stats increase. - NCR = nothing - Lady Gibson's = attack - The Fort = health - Violetta (Fiend) = speed Have you tried looking for the unique weapons? The Q-35 Matter Modulator is pretty sweet.

The Q-35 Matter Modulator is pretty sweet. I got the Q-35 Matter Modulator but prefer the sniper rifle because of the longer range. he he he.. Got the Gauss Rifle after completed the Brotherhood's quest. Not yet tested it. I used Violetta's brain for Rex. LOL Quite surprise to see Marcus from Fallout 2 and Cassidy's daughter, Sharon Cassidy. Quite nice to have her as companion.

Get the Gobi sniper rifle. It uses less AP and carry 6 shots per magazine. Plus it has a critical chance modifier. The only thing it doesnt have is a silencer. So I'm carrying a modded Sniper rifle for those silent kills. I just got that unique Gauss Rifle, YCS/186. It's cool and all but it takes 4 MF cells per shot.

just want to let you guys know, the Dead Money DLC @800ms is region locked, not sure if it works with a SG VPN, because recently there have been a few DLC that doesnt work even with an SG IP, it kicks you out of Live! @ 99%.
