finished the game yesterday but did not get hardcore achievement. so mad cause all throughout kept with it - travel back & forth to get to doc or doc's bag, waste caps and space on ammo, annoying need to eat/drink.

did change the difficulty a few times between normal-easy so maybe that messed it up. so be careful with that.

went with Yes Man ending first time
just finished pro-NCR ending

no 100G points for me. have to start from scratch ugh.

I hate caravan, only stuck with it to get the achievement. Gambling is super easy with Luck at 6 onwards - boosted +1 with Naughty Nightwear which can be bought from Mick & Ralphs in Freeside for less than 200 caps (+10 speech too), and Luck +1 from New Vegas Medical Clinic.

At Luck 9-10 in Blackjack you will get 21 all the time, even with 19 and you hit .. you will get 2! Unfortunately each casino has their own limits 10-15k. It is best to go close to the limit then hit the slots, you can get some mad caps like 30,000+ with one pull. Then you get banned from gambling. It's okay as it is more caps that you will ever need.

Managed to 100% Fallout New Vegas yesterday! Whee!

The hardest achievement was 'Hacking the Mojave'. Terminals are scarce and some you need Science 75-100 or are behind locked doors. If you want to get this easily build a character with focus on science and lockpick skills. Best place to find terminals are REPCONN HQ (7), Camp Searchlight (4 turret controls, outside so no loading screens) and NCR office/embassy on strip (3 - but red/bad karma).

Actually, I've been carrying around a dog's brain in my inventory but havent done the Rex quest yet. I killed this Fiend leader on one of the quests from Camp McCurran and one of her dogs had a brain in its inventory. I have ED-E as my non humanoid companion. It's like having R2D2.  laugh.gif

Not only that the power armors are quite useless, some of the perks as well. Grimm Reaper Sprint was my favorite perk in Fallout 3, in Vegas it only restores 20 AP upon successful kill. And IMHO energy weapons are dumbed down in Vegas. In F3, I just had that unique Plasma Rifle from the Rivet City quest and used it all through the DLCs. In Vegas, I'm not that keen on using energy weapons. Maybe it's because of the lack of Enclave soldiers. mad.gif

For Rex there are a few brains that you can choose from - it will give him different stats increase.
- NCR = nothing
- Lady Gibson's = attack
- The Fort = health
- Violetta (Fiend) = speed

Have you tried looking for the unique weapons? The Q-35 Matter Modulator is pretty sweet.
