If you disable, can not enable bluetooth, unless you don't need it..

Hello guys,

4820TG owner here as well, jumped the gun and bought the one with the radeon 5470 (when the one 5650 haven't arrived)

Anyway, upgraded it to 4GB RAM, and now dual-booting Ubuntu 10.10 and Win 7 Pro (TQ MSDNAA) on it.

Gaming on it acceptable la, BF:BC2 can run @ ~ 27-30 fps on low..

Disable/Enable Bluetooth..Press button Fn + F3.

@istillmyself: after following recommendation from sifu lee, i reckon u rerun the Boot up optimization tool. i simplify the process as below:

1. Download and install wptx64.msi (i assume u are using 64 bit OS)
2. Click start, and type "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Performance Toolkit\xbootmgr -trace boot -prepSystem -verboseReadyBoot"
3. Let it run and reboot for 6 times, click "Yes" if program ask u to. Don't change any boot up related program anymore.

It helps in my case. Good luck.

Planning to get the 4820TG in Jan to get that RM500 discount on income tax for my dad.

Is 2GB RAM enough?
How fast is 4GB compared to 2GB?
What about Windows ReadyBoost?
Will that help me if I use a 2GB RAM and 2GB SD card?

Real RAM still better than ReadyBoost....

Why my desktop duo core processor with 4 gb ram running Window XP boot up within 2x+ seconds which is like 10 second faster than my 4820TG lappie?

note my desktop haven't reformat for years with a lot of junks in there ...

Because desktop has faster HDD....

Read post by Kru88 in Post#264. Apparently, there is obvious improvement. I definitely recommend to upgrade to 4Gb. It should be the best RM130++ you can spend for your notebook.

Personally, I don't think ReadyBoost can help much in 2Gb machine in term of performance.

to get it back, make sure you have DsiWMIService (Dritek) autostart (and NOT delayed) and LManager running. refer to Post#41.
