Added on October 20, 2010, 4:15 amI take that as a tongue in cheek comment...I understand some fans get frustrated over his actions, but we all know Wayne at 24 turning 25 is still not a mature man..He might have been more patient on the field compared to 4-5 years ago but his recent scandal suggested that he still has a long way to go to become a responsible and matured both on and off the pitch...If he does sign a new contract, I will be delighted

Rooney brings more to the team than just goals..ppl tend to forget how much he has contributed, not just last season but for the past 4/5 seasons to the team, and just dismiss his importance based on his poor form in only 7 games this season.. I have no qualms that we will move on without him, but he is one of those quality players that cannot be replaced..
