I always working on cartoon style vector graphic in office. This is the first 2 more "serious" painting I did this 2 days.

All sketch was done long time ago, I just borrow a tablet from my boss and start painting. I love wacom tablet . must buy

I agree, mouse can do it, but tablet will save alot of time,

and I also think is depend on what the style you are going to do,
If it is very "texture" better use tablet.

For a more "flat colour" cartoon painting, mouse is sufficient.

wahh so similar, I think the eye is the best,

if you understand japs, then you can understand some chinse word as well, because japanese language use chinse word, hehe

this vector cartoon style is what i usually did in office unlike the "realistic" painting i show earlier (or below). click and compare both of them.

for me i think i have draw the right leg wrongly,
feel abit cacat, but too lazy to change it now

you can buy a tablet and paint/draw like what you do with paper and pencil.

a tablet can cost from few hundred to thousand over
wacom is the brand which most people get,

for wacom tablet, there are 2 series. graphire series is cheaper, intuos is more expensive.

i was using intuos2 A4 size to paint the "saber master" image i post earlier.

wacom tablet is an input device, not a tablet pc.

ok its weekend, so i got time to check out this thread slowly.

I think you got good colour selection on that image, but how you colour the girl can be still improve. Now the hair highlight look flat. Just take a reference image of manga and see how other people do the colouring, then follow.
