QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Oct 24 2010, 12:43 AM)
did u remove the screen protector on your camera lens there?
*
camera protector remove already.

u can try to focus on darker area when there is a light source somewhere else. after you capture the photo, try to look at the light, it just plain white. check it. perhaps i should upload the photo later

The area that got light, sure a bit blurr, or is that noise? My photos some are like that, especially outdoors one, Indoors one not that significant.

Added on October 24, 2010, 10:09 amMore pics. Indoor shots on the N8 is good, only outdoor night shots are a bit tricky for me. Everything is Automatic - scene mode, flash, EV, ISO...

Over exposure. rclxub.gif Ya, i have that problem, not that obvious indoors, but outdoor night shots, the lights around, there seems to be some. I think i need to try again by decreasing ISO.  hmm.gif
*
yes, it's over over exposure. not the iso thing..just like someone use the paint to rub off that area. perhaps if there is smooth edge then we will no be able to see it, but it's an sharp edge, which can bee seen significantly..

ok..last i check, my previous k800i also have the same problem, but, it is a bit smoother than n8.
same thing goes to my olympus DC.

perhaps...just smooth off a bit on the edge will be great

it's NOT over exposure but auto exposure... if u want the lighting detail then just focus on it but sure u will get a dark surronding photo...
NO CAMERA can do that without any HDR capability...  whistling.gif

yes.. what u looking for is HDR function... ask Aspire as he using N900 which have the godlike camera sw...  nod.gif
*
hmm..did i use wrong words..over exposed at those bulb..
well maybe if there can be smooth a bit at the edge..would be better.
last i check, my dc and k800i had smoother edge, thats why doesn't look like weird.. hmm.gif

anyway, been using dslr for abt 2 months and keep view those photo, maybe just too sensitive now tongue.gif
Overall, great camera phone thumbup.gif

hmm HDR.... n8 can do that? or got the way to do that in n8? biggrin.gif
*
no, you will need software to do HDR, even (entry level - mid range level) DSLR also have limited HDR process by the camera it self tongue.gif
the only thing u can do is capture photo under different exposure, then use software to mix them together in order to get "real" HDR...
