Guys, AF area which you all use? I am using Spot..  But Wide looks better?
*
depends on what you are focussing, spot for 1 spot focussing. wide for no specific place to focus (landscape, group shot, etc)

before this, with my a350 i depends solely on the spot focus, the wide one is sometimes doesn't focus that sharply. but now with a33, the wide area focussing is just damn good icon_rolleyes.gif . imho i really2 haven't tried the local AF on my a33 sweat.gif

Why are you so confident on this? I saw the Zeiss has nice bokeh also and if not mistaken the Zeiss 135mm is also STF rite tongue.gif ... of course not all the Zeiss formula lens has nice bokeh since there are several types of it
*
STF is the one and only 135mm f2.8 (T4.5).
the CZ 135mm is f/1.8

Zeiss is specialized in making the lens all in one ++ (sharp, color, distortions, etc)
the STF is specialized in bokeh .
those two have different purposes lens la smile.gif

if compare the 135mm STF @f2.8 and CZ135 @f/2.8 sure got different, not fair to compare f/2.8 to f/1.8

curi pinjam from other forum
user posted image
im trying to find the big big pic to compare, but this one already show enuff nod.gif

what i see is the CZ 135mm has circular aperture like (does it ?) , the bokeh is bulat bulat . but the STF is just blurrRRRR

If you guys wanna know what good bokeh is, look at the top left hand corner of mastering89's series of borrowed pics. See that solitary light spot there? The STF renders it without any sharp edges and transitions smoothly from the light tones to the darker tones. On the other lenses, it gets a clear circle and stands out clearly from the dark background.
*
not my pic la, strictly pinjam only sweat.gif
cannot afford such bokeh sweat.gif and lenses

zstan : hmm i rarely use the EVF, most of the time use the superb liveview (bigger EVF laugh.gif).

if use liveview.. drain battery fast or not?
*
for sure,
but im certain that im 90% with the liveview, seriously for me its abit hard to MF sharp2 with EVF. probably bcoz i cant hold stable sad.gif

QUOTE(zstan @ Nov 4 2010, 03:54 PM)
lol. the Live view looks more comfortable right?  laugh.gif
i thought there as peaceful as here ma.  sad.gif
*
the live view is easier, tilt here and there laugh.gif
haha u jangan selalu bring out that sony is better this and that. dslt have 10/7 fps blah3x sure la they panas sweat.gif

8tvt : EVF = electronic viewfinder , basically its a small live view inside the viewfinder nod.gif . hmmm no different i think in LV/EVF, slt are dem good whistling.gif

rehohk :

SAL55200 vs Minolta 75300 (this one im assuming the non big beercan one, comparing as i used the sal75300)
-sal55200 abit faster autofocus imho
-sal55200 is sharper imho, and minolta/sony 75300 is abit not sharp from focal length of 200mm-300mm)
-sal55200 probably have warranty laugh.gif
-sal55200 is shorter and cuter (my fren said)

No idea lah bro...that's why one of the reason I'm getting A580 because I'll have best of both world, an OVF & a LV.  As for A55 & A33, what you see in EVF will be the same as in LCD and Sony gives no option to have individual view/setting.  blink.gif

Don't worry lah, just buy an extra battery and enjoy yr shoots..... smile.gif
*
what u mean by individual view/setting??

the EVF compare to OVF:
-better DOF preview (relate to brightness)
-brighter than other OVF
-adjusted WB directly thru EVF
-the vertical&horizontal balance
-true histogram and more than enuf exif data.

but need to remember this is the first batch of dslt. who knows in future we have both EVF and OVF. better battery pawa, have better cooling system nod.gif.
also i said that for me EVF better than OVF but still i use live view most of the time haha laugh.gif

need atleast 3batt..
later always want to charge the batt.. wasting times..

the bold part can get by using LV or not?
*
then get extra battery(s) la biggrin.gif
but need to remind self regarding the overheating issue sad.gif

for LV sure can, im just stating the difference between OVF and EVF.

joejoe2004 : can la change to your preference.
in live view or EVF mode, if you press display button it will alternate from the normal view, to the one with histogram or the one with the horizontal/vertical balance line biggrin.gif . alaaa small size but great performance ok wut laugh.gif . i've been kacau my friend using d90 with my 7fps and af bokeh video whistling.gif
