the second most expensive area to renovate is bathrooms.... the sizes is kinda small but can used up to 5-6k of ur resources. this include the hacking, tiles, manpower costs, wc, piping, wiring, basin even rubbish also can cost u few hundreds buck. of course this is for general size bathrooms..... tiles will play a big roles on the total costs... of course this price is the max that i can invest in my bathrooms. just see what is ur specification, normally the contractor will ask u to provide the tiles for them. this is bcoz they do not want the hassle to go showroom with u and wait for 2-3hrs for selecting the tiles and beside u will know the costs of the tiles instantly and cannot earn money from the tiles so not worth it right? at the contractors point of view

are you planning to change your basin, w.c, taps, heaters and etc? If yes, just these stuff may cost you RM 1k-2k depending what brand u r choosing. If u r planning to change your toilet bowl (W.C) u can consider Johnson Suise, we are having stock clearance this month

it should cost you not more than 5k if you are requiring a standard bathroom. depends on what item in your bathroom. wc is cost around 3++ to 6++. you might hired direct to the labor, which mean you will have to buy the material your ownself. hehe

QUOTE(epalbee3 @ Oct 17 2010, 12:17 AM) mine is 2 bathroom, but if you use branded wc, basin, tap etc... of course is only enough 1 bathroom loh...... remember the tiles that i mentions? the price of the tiles also can range from rm 1- 8 per piece. so that's means everything done for my bathroom should not more than 6k (very tight budget). FYI, i used china made wc, china made basin, china made water tap, tiles i have no idea what i used, workmanship also indon worker |

lol, if u wan to put solar water heater for good shower already cost u rm 3k+, a water pump to boost water pressure already RM 1k+. Depending how u wan 2 renovate only, can b as cheap as 4-5k for to bathrooms or even 6k per bathrooms.

i would assume, tiling is 6ft high? remove all 1,5 ft x 1,5 ft x 2 = approx. 700 RM
redo tiling: workmanship approx. 250 RM fit the rest: approx. 200 RM plus tiles, fittings as you like. just a rough guess. but not too costly since you're only looking at the toilets and not showers/large area. |

I bough all my WC stuffs (include solar heater, and etc) from zheilwane, gooooood price and service I must say. When my first set of sorento mixers (they stolen the body only) kena stolen, I ask him if I could get replacement body, he even help me to contact sorento see if they sell mixer body only. Although sorento response w/ they're not selling spare parts but I do appreciate him for the effort, and recently I just went to his shop to get my 2nd set of mixers & water pump, and i got additional small discount for returning visit |

I'm lucky to come across this forum.
Currently, I'm renovating my bathroom from hacking all the floor and wall tiles, relocating WC, long bath and basin, installing storage water heater, removing existing piping and re-run new copper piping for hot water and PVC piping for cold water. Plus adding new water outlet as well. Basically a complete make over. My plumber gave me a very short notice to purchase all sanitary fittings as he needed the measurement urgently. I contacted Zheilwane near wee hours to solve my bathroom issue. He has good product knowledge and helps us to narrow down our search. Very prompt in answering all the questions and thumbs up for efficient service! Following are my costs to renovate my bathroom (108 sf): 1. Hacking existing tiles and re tiling including tiles - RM5.5K 2. Plumbing - RM4k 3. Sanitary fittings including a Jacuzzi - RM6k 4. Shower Screen - RM1.5k 5. Vanity Cabinet (excluding double bowl) - RM1.8k 6. Electrical Points, Lightings and Plaster Ceiling - RM1K Hope this helps.. |
