I tried it before posting. So its confirmed to work. When I switch to wlan only, my browser which is loading in the background stop loading and when I returned to homescreen, its not using data also.

Update to yesterday finding...

It looks like 'desktop version' on the bottom of LYN is CLICKABLE but really hard. I have removed sticker on the front screen to see if it helps with the the stock browser 'CLICK' response. Im finding it hard to get the screen to register the 'CLICK'... the keyboard is just fine, just the CLICK.

Can you double confirm something for me?
I tried to copy Top Gear mkv file to N8 and everytime I did that explorer crashed. Did you encounter the same problem? I think size wise is just 1gb+ which should not be a problem under FAT32. I tried WMV and AVI which works well but this particular MKV just very stubborn.

There is no MOBILE option with N8 browser... surprised? Even in S60v5, there is an option in the stock browser option to choose Mobile View as default if Im not mistaken. I dont know if they decided to go with the Auto mode or what, but for me who prefer a desktop mode, I find it 'leceh' to click desktop mode.

I need to double confirm when I get home. To be honest, it was the OVI Suite that I downloaded from the internet about 3-4months ago, while still using 5800. It detects the phone okay and transferred WMV/AVI just fine, so I kinda ruled that out. I will update later when I get home... most likely Ovi Suite as it was set as default.

The battery drain is quite severe as well, kinda same like my Legend. Possibly the weakness of ARM11 power management. I charged it last night in off mode for 2.5hrs and only on it this morning at 8am. Now 11am and battery already left like 40% only.

I think N8 as a whole is kinda exceeded my expectation. I did not have much trouble with it except for the BROWSER. I hope Nokia would completely revamp the browser because it could bring the whole experience up a notch or two. The speed of the browser is pretty good, smooth scrolling but severely hampered by the keyboard spacebar bug, non responsive clicks, some rendering error, mobile/desktop view setting, last but not least hopefully they can include fit to screen text.

Im thinking to do a review sometimes next week if I have the time.

After I remove the sticker, the CLICK response improved quite a lot. Does it mean Screen Protector is not recommended? There is one major design flaw with the N8 that is with the position of the one touch button. Its kinda hard to reach for it in one hand mode, unless you only have half of the grip on the phone.

Not theme related I guess. N8 light sensor seem to be working very well. The screen will dim quite significantly when not being used under direct lighting.

Just try cover the light sensor at the top right and see it dim.

How did you find the battery?

I think I surf for less than an hours in total (on and off surfing) and it seem like the widgets are sucking the data. It really drain the battery a lot and I have less than 20% now. 8am-12pm with moderate usage and 1hr surfing. I wonder if should be charged for 8hrs for first few times.

Android is definitely not something that'd suit everyone especially those without much IT knowledge. I had a friend who was quite interested with it despite my warning, and I already received a few calls for help from her. I would definitely won't recommend Android phone to friends or clients who can't even get familiar with Symbian.
