You format/hard reset your N8 right? Or did you use factory reset?

I remember I read you lost all the pre-installed applications; Do you still have OVI Maps and OVI Store 2.0?
Are you able to open the demo videos?

How come video and pics are deleted?
I try both reinstall via PC Suite and OVI Suite and also use Hard Reset, my mass storage files are untouched, just affect phone memory.

The demo video also gone? e.g. TRON

Not sure doomx experience factory reset or hard reset.
Hard Reset will start with welcome screen and phone setup process; You will loose OVI Maps and OVI Store 2.0.
Read only can't re-install back OVI Store 2.0.

When I did hard reset, my demo videos were no longer playable as well, it says license is expired or invalid.

Now my N8 already in NCC's ICU.

No idea, already send my N8 to ICU. I read online seems not able to.

So, it's hard reset already; All the videos can't be viewed.... Don't know why like this.

For OVI Store, according to online sources, seems no way to reinstall it back. You can try BBXiong suggestion, or you can try connect to OVI Suite, then go to Software Updates, see there is OVI Store listed or not.

If you managed to found out the solution, please share it; Ask TS to put in front page, with the thread going so fast, cannot keep track lah.

Btw, you also loose those pre-installed apps for MY. I've emailed Radiance & Paolo to check with Nokia regarding this, how can we get back those apps.
I check with Nokia Care, unfortunately, they have no idea what I'm talking about.

Also ask for those pre-installed Apps for Malaysian set.
