To EONBank GSC card users, have you encountered people who line up at the gsc eonbank concession counter and pretend that they don't know the counter is only for those with the card?

Had another experience yesterday and it's really annoying because they're slowing down the queue. After turning away a few customers without the card, the gsc staff announced loudly 'excuse me, this line is only for gsc eoncard users' yet some still try to talk their way out of it. I've seen the staff giving in a few times, fella had to go to another counter to register the purchase.

Suggest you write in a strong letter of protest to GSC as its an outright abuse of their system, not to mention a blatant waste of time mad.gif

I was in Pavilion KL today to do some shopping and I saw at least ten people paying for their purchases with either CIMB Visa Infinite or World Mastercard. Somehow, it's like a common sight that doesn't make both cards look exclusive anymore! Soon black will be the new platinum just like how platinum is the new gold! Mind you that also means having a minimum CL of 100k is so common these days!
*
Put it this way, I was at Econsave last evening, and there were 1 couple paying with CIMB WMC rclxms.gif

Guess CIMB finally achieved their objective of mass market penetration with their cards. What better way than to flood the market with perceived "prestige card" which are in fact just a well packaged joke on their card users laugh.gif

But seriously, since when has CL ever been equated with prestige, especially when no one knows what CL you are having anyway (I believe Mbf was the first to introduce this idea with their "Gold" card back decades ago) hmm.gif

CIMB Enrich Card:

Features and Benefits:

FREE Flights to your favourite destinations with CIMB Enrich MasterCard - Be rewarded with an additional ticket when you fly Business Class with Malaysia Airlines. With CIMB Enrich Platinum MasterCard, you have the privilege of a free ticket when you purchase a full fare Business Class ticket to ALL Malaysia Airlines destination.

How are we going to claim for the complementary free ticket? Free ticket claimed can be used on the same trip or only for next order?
*
Last time I used it was thru their appointed travel agent and must be used on the same trip ie. same time/date etc. Maybe you can try change date after getting the ticket?

Yes they give.
Just to report on the forex comparison between SCB VISA and CIMB MC

This transaction occurred on the 1st November 2010, swiped same date and within hours/minutes apart but they were posted at the exact same time.

SCB VISA USD 1 = RM 3.157888
CIMB MC  USD 1 = RM 3.15518

Should I had used CIMB MC for the purchase, I would have saved about RM0.36 vs using my SCB VISA (My purchase was USD102.20)
* SCB VISA used a higher exchange rate as what most guys reported but I am only using 2 cards to compare. My opinion is that the difference is marginal coz even if you were to spend 10x the value, the differential would have been about RM3.60.
*
Plus if yours is the SCB VI, then you get 5x points versus 2x points provided by CIMB tongue.gif

This is a VS card and EON's top range product. Normally CL will start at RM100K and above, nothing unusual ie. like the CIMB WMC tongue.gif
