QUOTE(WhiteWing @ Oct 27 2010, 09:43 PM) W00t ... Standard Chartered bank staff call me and ask me 1 question only " sir,do you apply SCB cc ? I said yes then she end my call " ... is she scam ? WhiteWing, I received a call previously from Stand Chart customer service centre as well. Basically they want to do confirmation if we actually apply for their credit card. There is instances when the consumer apply for one card but the their agent submit a few card applications.

QUOTE(WhiteWing @ Oct 27 2010, 10:07 PM) OIc .. I thought they will ask me some question to double check. Impossible that just ask me got apply or not then end my call right. They shall do more verification on the spot like what card I apply, holding which card right now, and more abit leh. 1 question ask then end call .. I feel not right for a customer service to do so. May be you should call SCB for your card application status? For my case, the lady did ask me further question. QUOTE(winner @ Nov 27 2010, 09:13 AM) In order to get RM88 or RM188 cash, you first need to activate and swipe your card as the cash will only be credited to your account upon first usage. The cash back RM88/188 will be credited into your account even BEFORE you activate the card. I called the customer service to confirm there is a CREDIT balance in my account before start swiping them (I have applied two Platinum cards lately)... The cards are now in my "safe" once I fully enjoyed the net RM138 cash amount... Hahahah

QUOTE(chemistry @ Dec 7 2010, 03:04 PM) yup, both of us are just trying to clear mitodna's doubt DA MC is however losing ground to OCBC Ti recently. lol The only strength of DA MC is that its rebate capping is based on 'per brand per card'. That means a DA MC cardmember can earn RM50 for fuel, RM50 for KFC, RM50 for Guardian, RM50 for Tesco, RM50 for Giant, etc... Oh, this is new to me... I am in the impression the rebate is based on category grouping... eg. Tesco, Giant, Guardian, etc share the max RM50 cash rebate whereas KFC, Starbuck, Burger King for another Rm50 threshold...

QUOTE(chemistry @ Dec 7 2010, 10:51 PM) For reference purpose: [attachmentid=1926307] But I interpreted differently that it means the RM50 is based on Brand Grouping instead of individual brad.. Pls check out this link. http://www.cimbbank.com.my/index.php?ch=43...k&tpt=cimb_bank
