How does one decide if he/she needs another credit card or not?
I have a SCB JustOne. Going to cancel my HSBC Gold. The OCBC titanium looks good. I don't know if I'll benefit from the card or not considering I already have SCB JustOne. |

QUOTE(winner @ Oct 17 2010, 07:38 AM) Although SCB JustOne Titanium is a great card, the cash back per annum is capped at RM600. It would be better to get another card such as OCBC Titanium as a back up, in the event that the cashiers fail to swipe your SCB JustOne Titanium. We had experienced some problems when teaching the cashiers to select "credit" function to perform a transaction. Good point. I had thought of this too. But in my case, I didn't max out my SCB JustOne rebates last year. I spend very little. Maybe I don't need OCBC Titanium after all. Don't need to incur another RM50 service tax.As for my case, my SCB JustOne Titanium had already hit the annual cash back limit last month. Therefore, I need other cards like OCBC Titanium (mainly for dining, grocery, utilities and petrol expenses) and SCB World MC (x2 choice points and discounted points requirement for redemption) to perform my transactions. |

Does anyone know if OCBC team is conducting any roadshow this weekend? Want to drop by and apply the Titanium card and get the free gift.

QUOTE(wongpeter @ Oct 22 2010, 11:29 AM) I don't know what's the free gift. Just trying my luck. Usually these roadshows will have free gifts to encourage people to sign up right? QUOTE(carlitofreak @ Oct 22 2010, 07:54 PM) To be truth im not qualified. My salary is around RM2000 per month. Im not even submit my payslip since i dont have one. I applied the card by opening FD account and deposit a sum of RM5000. And i dont even have CCRIS record too. Congrats. Now that you have your first CC, you can build your credit history with CCRIS. Take good care of your credit history. Be punctual with your repayment. When you've got a good credit history, in the future easier to apply for mortgage. |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Oct 25 2010, 12:48 AM) IBG ? You mean Interbank GIRO ? Actually, you still need the HSBC Security Device for IBG. As for acccount transaction history, no. You don't need the HSBC Security Device. 5 years? Then I'm going to close my account during year 4, then reopen a new account after that and get a new security device If i'm not mistaken, only corporate customers have to pay. People like us don't By the way, the HSBC Security Device has a battery life of approximately 5 years. We are supposed to pay RM50 to get a HSBC Security Device replacement. Have not done this before. Therefore, i am not sure if it is waivable. Like this don't need to pay RM50. |
