For the design, this is actually base on personal taste, like myself, I don't like the Accord design at all, found it just too ugly for such a big car (no any hard feeling towards Honda or Accord owner). For Teana, I won't say it is a real beauty or what, just I can accept the design, at least it is smoother and the interior is minimalist and very comfortable to sit in. As for the rain hitting to roof noise, actually did you find any different in between Toyota, Nissan or Honda or even the Mercedes and BMW? Honestly I don't know whether the Teana has any sound proofing material inside the hollow section of the roof, but in my house got another new Mercedes E250, I did drive this quite often and found almost no different in between my Teana and the E250 when raining, so maybe the E250 also has no any sound proofing material inside the hollow section of the roof.

i bought teana becos its real comfy.. the roof noise when raining.. acceptable for me lar.. feel not much difference with the merc either.. btw my house also have the new e250.. its glass top.. no sound proofing material i guess..

Bro wc5599, I am not very well verse in sound systems. You mean just installed (addition) the MBQ active sub? No need to remove/replace any of the existing components? And is so, how big is the active sub and where do you install them?
*
yea.. just install the active sub.. no need 2 replace any existing component.. mine is 8".. more than enough.. i not sure how big it is.. a little bit bigger than a4 size paper.. maybe less than 10cm thick.. install underneath the front passenger seat.. installation finish in 1 hr time..

IMO the thing teana win over optima is the seat.. teana's seat is still the best from all cars i have tested (aside from lexus IS250) i guess..
optima win over teana in every single aspect.. if optima have 2.5L engine then i suppose it would b better i guess.. 2.0L on tat car feels underpower.. car is too heavy i guess.. and then.... its a kia.. i don fancy korean.. haha..

btw cybermaster.. i test drive the optima ady..

teana cruising at 130kmph constant speed.. 10l/100km +-.. still ok for me..
above 140kmph will consume more than 10l/100km thou..

Is it the latest Kia Optima? You test drive with trade plates or wht?

Yes i expect the acceleration to be a bit sluggish as the car is heavy. Its 0-100kmph is only 10.9 secs which is poor. Im afraid fc will suffer.

yea la.. u think i m stupid cant recognize a car mehh.. zz

How's the NVH compared to teana?
*
NVH on par with teana i think.. but i feel teana is more comfy because of the seat.. but optima feels more solid..

Thats why im asking . DID IT HAVE TRADE PLATES???
*
NO

Hi assange, i got the same issue with you... Once my 2.0L Teana reaches 160km/h, the entire car will start to shake till i not dare to go faster.
Some people told me it's because of balancing, I not sure it's true... So did you found the solution yet?
Hi All Teana users, I thinking to change my Hologen light bulb to Osram Night Breaker Plus. Any recommendation where should i go for best price in town? And do you all know what is the size of the light bulb Teana 2.0L using? H1, H4, H7, H11....

Thank you.
*
y not straight change to HID? i heard those bulbs are not as durable.. HID are more durable and should save u $ in long run.. my fren told me that..

and yea.. y discuss so much about the optima here? go optima thread la..

Hi Bro, because it's cheaper and legal =)
And changing to HID might trouble the warranty as well.
Anyway, thanks to your advice.
*

What about petrol consumption? Does it effect too much? Need to consider this too since i travel at least 200 km perday on this car.....
*
what ICE u plan 2 upgrade?
i only upgrade active sub for my 2.0L and i think not necessary to upgrade the LCD since when i drive i don bother to mess around with the LCD also.. so i guess better bass for the audio system is sufficient for me.

oh yea.. i got new data for petrol consumption.. 560km, 60L at 10.7km/L. 95% town drive. my new best ady.. since muar town almost traffic jam every day, small town road r short and don hav much space for constant driving.

Hi bro, where did you put in your active sub? any good active sub recommendation?
*
i put in under my left side passenger seat. drawbacks.. ur passenger butt will b numb if ur music is loud after few hr drive.. then the sound is awesome at the driver and front passenger seat. but at the back its not so good. 8" is sufficient if u r not tat hardcore. else bass will b too strong. u will need 2 change ur mid, add tweeter and so on.
i personally use MBQ 1.. so far so good.
