 philip DVD player, USB problem

Hye all,

Just asking. Whay my philip DVD player cannot play movie, songs etc from my usb hard disk.. Is i using thumbdrive sometimes its work and sometimes its not.. If i use 128 Mb ok but when change to 2 Gig thumdrive it not woking.. Why..

what is USB Hard Disk Media Player (plug and Play).. Where to get this one? How much it cost??

U can get a Media Player, theres a lot of brand around that can support any format movies. Cheers.

have you try checking what fat your thumbdrive is having? and also what codec your player supported?

Maybe your Hardisk/thumbrive using NTFS file format.
Reformat it to FAT32 and try again.

First is...is your Philips USB2.0 version or 1.1 version?

The older version used to be a bit selective with thumbdrive...especially high speed ones like corsair GT.

Also, you need a powered external HDD if you wanna use it with your Philips USB port...

But seriously, I agree with Skylinestar...no point playing with USB slots that only accept avi.
