QUOTE(mugenz @ Oct 20 2010, 12:53 PM) Anyone going on Saturday morning? i will be goin with my gf. Planning to reach there around 7.30am You realize that people are turning up at 4:30am on a weekday to get the phone, right? If you want to queue for Saturday, I think better come just after KLCC closes on Friday If anyone else going there earlier than me, perhaps can update here. Because if i cannot get to be the 100 fellas i plan not to go at all. I am from PJ, travel all the way to KLCC for nothing is really "nothing better to do". |

QUOTE(maximus85 @ Oct 21 2010, 01:37 PM) I GOT MY PHONE D!! WOOHOOO~~ What the hell, really?! I was JUST there at 12pm, annoyed looking women told me no stock, need to wait two weeks some more. Bloody hell... Did you get contract or outright purchase? i got mine at Pavillion... actually i planned to go KLCC early this morning also but yesterday night friend celebration then slept quite late and can't get up early. Then this morning, kinda sienz d coz hunt for almost 1 week d... Then before i went up my office, i went over to Pavillion to try out my luck. Then i saw this lady CS(probably the head of CS there) sitting at the counter there, i asked her got stock for iPhone4? She looked at me for awhile relunctantly wanna tell me, but end up spill out that 12.30pm later will have stock!!! i was like OMFG!! then i went back again during lunch time. Apparently the time was push back to 1.30pm, however since that lady already promised me 12.30pm, she called me over and whispered to me: "OK, i will process ur phone ONLY at this time, do not tell anyone coz it's suppose to be release at 1.30pm" After i paid then i proceed to another counter for activation and this is when i saw some funny stuffs. Few ppl came in after me and asked about iPhone4 stock, and to my surprise those front line standing one all told them NO STOCK!! WTF? I mean is this thing so wrapped up only the those few in the branch wif authority will know about the stocks?? Then got this angmoh came in and same was told to her, but this angmoh looks angry coz she said this morning she called Maxis centre and was told got stock today in Pavillion. She insisted for some times and end up another guy came into the picture and told her later 3pm got stock. Come later.... I was like WTF again... some CS told customers 1.30pm, some 2pm and then 3pm.... wtf are they thinking? they thought everyone got all the time in the world to check things out every single farking hours of the day??? i must admit i got lucky today. I only hunt in Pavillion every morning for few days and voila~ got it... to those still hunting... all the best folks... i'm off playing around wif my new toys now... hehe |

QUOTE(maximus85 @ Oct 21 2010, 02:00 PM) contract... only got 16GB, which is enough for me anyway... my advise is... GO AGAIN AT 2pm~3pm!! seriously, the lady told me got 16 phones only... and if i'm the only one served by them today, then should have 15 more stocks... GOOD LUCK BRO!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Went at 3pm, and they still had stock! And apparently they also just received a shipment of 32gb, which I picked up one Ironically, the Pavilion maxis center had NO ONE there! Stocks freely available and NO ONE WAS THERE! What the hell. I guess everybody still waiting at the KLCC roadshow I bought outright my 32gb, only took about 20 minutes. They kept trying to push a contract on me, but eventually they relented when I made some noise... I guess that's because the shop was empty when I was there, lucky me. Also activated the free 500mb data for my prepaid. All in all, an unexpectedly happy day for me This post has been edited by LordSparda: Oct 21 2010, 04:34 PM |

QUOTE(selinix @ Oct 21 2010, 04:32 PM) By right is straight away you will receive the activation SMS that your 500mb data plan is ready. Yeah, got the sms telling me about the 500mb about 30 minutes after putting in my castrated sim card. Too bad it's only for one year, wish it would last forever Yes every month you get 500mb for a year. |

Doh... all the excitement and I just remembered I put in a deposit for an iphone 4 at a epic center LAST MONTH.
Moral of the story - don't bother with MEPs. Luckily they can convert that rm200 for any purchase at their store, and I happen to want to buy a mophie juice pack that's more that rm200. |

QUOTE(ivan1128 @ Oct 21 2010, 05:19 PM) I think if i create another topic for those who didn't get their iphone 4 yet and to let them to Maximus and I got lucky because we work near KLCC/Pavilion so we can afford to stalk the maxis centers daily. That seems to be the best option, since they appear to get stock shipments every week or so (I also just missed one lot that came last week, by just five minutes, booo...). If you work near one, try stalking, it worked for us |

QUOTE(crx_100 @ Oct 21 2010, 05:26 PM) No man, I put my name down when Maxis launched the iphone last month. No news. Last I checked with him (about two weeks ago) I'm still 200+ in the waiting list or so, and they only get about 10-20 units per shipment every week. So I gave up on it, hell I even forgot about it until I was digging around my drawer just now. I'm going to use the rm200 deposit to buy screen protector / mophie juicepack instead, so sorry mate. Added on October 21, 2010, 5:43 pmHuh, looks like some of the stuff on page 1 is outdated... my iphone ships with firmware 4.1 instead of 4.0.2. Can take HDR photos, fuyoh so purty. QUOTE(Ya Rerd @ Oct 21 2010, 06:06 PM) Hey guys, I'm not sure has this been asked. No there isn't. They will check your prepaid no. against your IC to make sure it's under your name, but otherwise there's no contract or anything. But for outright purchases, will there be a contract for the prepaid number that I need to register? Can I just terminate the number within a few days/week an then convert my existing Maxis Postpaid to a micro-sim? |

QUOTE(nimrod323 @ Oct 21 2010, 09:41 PM) Actually it's RM100 termination fee + (difference between phone full price - phone at ivalue price) x (remaining month) / (total contract month) I have a relative who bought an iphone4 with ivalue1, then just terminated it on the spot. Creating some laughs at the maxis center he was in. Essentially he paid the full RRP price + RM100. Guess he got the money and didn't mind. Yes, I will rub it in his face that I bought mine outright and got 1 years worth of 500mb data, haha!!! |

QUOTE(whatsayyou @ Oct 21 2010, 10:34 PM) i'm quoting u. "Actually it's RM100 termination fee + (difference between phone full price - phone at ivalue price) x (remaining month) / (total contract month) " Oh I see. I was thinking of my relative's situation where he terminated his ivalue1 outright. In that particular case he's paying full rrp price + RM100 for termination.for a 12mth 16gb contract, RRP is RM2,290. iphone price is RM1,690. cancel 6 mths into contract. termination fee is [(2,290 - 1,690) x 6/12] + RM100 = RM400. for 12mth 32gb, termination fee is RM450 for 24mth 16gb, 32gb, fee is RM775 for both Added on October 21, 2010, 10:38 pm if his wife's number is under her name, then better bring her along. i told the cs i'm under my dad, and the cs knows my dad, yet he still insist i bring him along.... |

QUOTE(amypisces @ Oct 21 2010, 10:55 PM) fyi, i just call cs, must bring account holder (owner) to sign up any package(purchase phone, sign contact) cannot authorized ppl to sign. Let's see...16gb right?but u can authorized ppl for his name transfer u become the account holder(mean change his/her name(owner) to become u r the owner) then only sign up contact n purchase. ( photocopy ic n authorized letter n change owner form from maxis centre.) need to ask u guys, i call cs but she tell me she don't know calculate. (WTF) i planning to purchase ip4 with ivalue1(rm1690) contact 12month, planning to terminate the contact after 2month due to i need to go overseas. so how much will maxis charge me or penalty me? thank you. (2290 - 1690) x 10/12 + 100 = RM600. |

QUOTE(amypisces @ Oct 21 2010, 11:14 PM) 2290-1690=600 X 10/12 mean? +100=rm600?? Eh, it's like this: -sorry i abit noob. just want understand only. or u confirm i need to pay 600 after 2month if i cancel? thank you. 2290 = full price of the iphone 1690 = discounted price from using ivalue 1 10/12 = you only used 2 months, so you have 10 months remaining on your 12 month contract 100 = cancellation fee You will need to pay RM600 after 2 months when you cancel. Of course, you still have to pay for the two months of usage i.e. RM100 after first month, then RM100 after second month, then RM600 for cancellation. That's as best I can explain it, sorry |

QUOTE(yvonnesoo @ Oct 22 2010, 02:11 AM) i think u gonna pay for the remaining months of your contract.. for eg, u still haf 10 mths to go (100x10). if every1 think to haf only d phone n cancel the contract after a few mths of usage, maxis won't earn anything frm it.. dun forget tat maxis subsidize d phone cz of your plan Could be, yeah. I got the formula from him, didn't ask Maxis myself about the specifics. Though Maxis didn't charge him the full twelve months (12 x RM100). He was saying it was worth it to get it with no contract for just RM100 more, outside shop more expensive etc. Added on October 22, 2010, 2:30 am i guess ur relative situation is different from those who haf sign up the ivalue plan for few mths n wanna cancel. cz ur relative straight away cancel on d spot. so maxis charge ur relative outright price for the ip4 plus cancellation fee due to ur relative causing them xtra time to do their registration, cancellation n etc Poor guy doesn't know about the outright purchase thing though. Actually, I wouldn't have known it either if it was not for Lowyat.net. Haha, lowyat.net helped me save RM100 and earned me free 500mb data for 12 months! QUOTE(ivan1128 @ Oct 22 2010, 02:12 PM) I buy my iphone 4 primarily for playing Games, apps and music!! hehehe Apps and games don't take much space... so depends really on how big is your movie / music collection. I download whole tv series to watch over lunch, so 32gb can finish just like that for me so 32gb will be nice for me too i presumed? Sorry. First time buying an iphone. I don't know what to choose between 16gb and 32gb. |
