in your repositories setting, under "update" tab uncheck "unsupported updates (hardy-backport)", then refresh your repo. search network manager in package manager...look for network-manager and network-manager-gnome
*
how can i connect to internet ha??
my network all disable .. doh.gif

Added on September 18, 2008, 8:02 pmok, the most simple solution is under your third party source, check your cdrom. u install from your live cd again, this is a very brief description. if u dont understand, ask again, which part u need it to be specific hehe lazy lately tongue.gif damn hot outside...

Have you tried to edit /etc/network/interfaces  ?

code:
~$ sudo gedit /etc/network/interfaces
then add the following line accordingly

#The primary network interfaces
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.x.x
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.x.x

then save the file and try to connect using wired LAN..
*
i have done this before,
but still can' t connect..

since u can online now, perhaps u can try to download this http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/network-manager-gnome and anything related to it now, n bring it back home for installation, but most of the time, simple config file should be able to make u go online...unless its ur router/streamyx...network manager is for simpler configuration only...
*

CODE

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp

i also alreadyy download the network manager from that link,
but can't install..
it said crash or something like that laa rclxub.gif

i'm using ubuntu 9.04,
the problem is about the grafic card.
nvidia but old one,

it's working fine at first, but after i run sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-bla bla bla pkg1.run
reboot,
and it's stuck before go to xserver.
no display,

i think it's maybe xorg.conf conflict,
