Hey guys,

im new to this forum. I got a couple of questions regarding cutting. Im not sure if this has been asked before. Hopefully someone who has experience or know people who have experience can answer some of these questions.

Some background,
im around 70kg+/- 1kg , around 166cm (not sure but thats what stated in my passport).
Ecto ( have the bone size of a 12 year old girl, hahaha) was 45kg before i started, bout close to 2 years ago. Have never been on a cut (intentionally) before. Not sure what my body fat level is, but i dont have six pack (maybe under certain lighting conditions can see glances of abs) nor a protuding tummy. I have recently rebooted my training after on and off training for the past year. I eat 5 meals a day excluding protein shakes because i feel 100cal is quite negligible to be considered a meal when bulking. I only take 1 scoop of protein shake after workout and sometimes before sleep (rarely).

So on to the questions

1. For the past 2-3 months, my strength has been consistently increasing (either by 1 or 2 reps or 1 or 2 kg depending on the exercise). The strength increase seems to be on a weekly basis. My body weight has also been increasing steadily for 500-600gm weekly. Is it advisable to start cutting while im "still on a roll" or is it better for me to wait till i reach a plateau.

2. Im a muslim and fasting month is coming soon , which means i will unintentionally shed a few pounds. Should i start my cut at the beginning of fasting month, or should i start before fasting month, so fasting month would be towards the end of my cut.

3. I understand that might be a loss in strength during a cut which i am fine with. But how much loss in strength is too much. For example, i am benching 10 reps of 75lbs dumbbells atm, How much strength loss is too much for me to realise i might be overdoing it. ( Im not sure if you understood what i just said , haha)

Thank You

What I do on a daily basis here is that I rise and shine around 7 to 8 or 2 hours pre-class. ( sleep early, wake early, prepare your food and drink your green tea). By the time you reach class you'd be wide awake and fresh.

Have my green tea, multivit and my breakfast..

Either half a box of cereal, half pack of milk with 4 - 5 frozen bananas and 4 - 5 eggs.(most of the time)
4 slices of wheat bread with 2 cans of tuna(most of the time)
Sweet potatoes ( once a week probably)

(if I've cooked earlier , *I cook in bulk, put them in tupperware in the fridge and probably last me for like 5 - 6 meals)
Wheat pasta , green peas, chicken breast or fish.
Brown rice, beef patties or Fish.
*add in broccoli here and there

Usually about 5 -6 meals a day. I try to eat as clean as possible for that 5 - 6 meals by cooking at home, bringing my tupperware to class. As I get closer to the weekends(training days), I try to up my meals intake to 7 -8 meals and on training days, I take in 6 -7 meals just that they're double the portion of usual.

Just a general structure of how I eat. Of course, there's dirty meals here and there but I try my very best to limit them to small portions and maybe only once or twice a week.

I got a very rude awakening 7 months back when I was in and out of the hospital more than at home, GF dumped me, fat and in very very bad conditioning. I barely survived going up the stairs -___-

Scared the living daylight out of me but at the same time provided me with a very good wake up call.

funny, after all that , u didnt really answer his question.

Anyways, my frens have tried using Noxplode b4 (less than the recommended dosage for training) during assignments and exams, and apparently it helped him stay awake and concentrate for longer. Never tried this personally. I use redbull. smile.gif

ermm, why dun u not look at the weighing scale on a daily basis . Try weekly at a specific time and similiar conditions.

Ur weight might fluctuate due to many reasons, maybe u toke a bigger dump than usual, piss more, ate more than usual, drank more water, sweat more, toke too much caffeinne causing u to piss off ur body fluids...so many possibilities.....

What im saying is , its easier to see an overall gain/loss on a weekly basis.

But ur weight has been increasing in the past month so i dont see a problem, just keep doing what ur doing and all the best rclxms.gif

@Stich

Dude, ur missing 1 of the most important aspects of bodybuilding which is recovery. If you have that much free time, go spend some time in the kitchen and monitor your timing for meals etc. With your current workout plan, Dont be surprise after 2 months, u end up smaller than before with less muscle mass... jus saying

white rice and white bread are high GI complex carbs not simple carbs....

try drinking fruit juices instead of soft drinks
